PCW
News Years Evil 2009
It was a standing room only crowd at Midlothian when the PCW wrestlers went at it. The main event was a battle royale to determine the new number one contender to the heavyweight title. Results as follows:
-Damian (c) retains the Midwest Championship against Wally Wilde. Wally brought a very physical A game to the match and even hit his patented frog splash, but Damian was able to grab the ropes. While arguing with the referee, Wally was rolled up and Damian put his feet on the ropes for the three count.
-Jarod Priest was interviewed by Vincent Stone. Priest demanded to know why John Burke had returned to PCW. This brought out the Chicago Connection (Rick Knight and Whiplash) who told him they had then numbers advantage. This brought out the "Big Jack" himself and he laid out a challenge for our next show. Classic Connection vs "New & Improved" Connection.
-Ares/Butcher (c) retain the tag team titles against Mixed Breed and the Gridiron Grapplers. A match that saw lots of double team moves. At one point Steve Heisman of the GIG took over twenty chops, even his brother chopped him for a tag and then chopped again to tag out. Ares got the pin on one of the Grapplers to retain the titles.
-"The Feature Presentation" Johnny Mac (c) by DQ over D-Nytemare. Another physical match. Several times D. tried to lock in the rear naked choke, but Mac always managed to get out. At one point, Mac went to clothesline Nytemare who ducked and Mac stopped short of taking out ref Lou Tufano. He then went ahead and hit Tufano anyway! Nytemare was able to lock in the choke and Mac tapped out as Tufano called for the bell. However the ref revealed Mac had been disqualified for hitting the ref and was still the champion.
-Sacrifice and D-Nytemare were declared co-winners of the #1 contender's battle royale. While battling outside the ropes, Johnny Mac left his ringside commentating postition and hit both men knocking them to the floor. Since both men's feet hit the floor at the same time, they were declared co-winners. PCW officials are currently trying to come with a solution as to who is the #1 contender.
