PTP-Sonny, re: shooting, how many times in past?
Sonny:
kind of funny that u mention this pete because ah lets just say i have some unfinished business to take care of b4 i join my wife in new orleans next year. i'll close this part of the chat by saying that i am looking quite 4ward to it when the time comes. just to close speculation it has nothing 2 do with Dipshit, dds, or a couple others that i butted heads with in the past. when it happens believe me you and the greater chicago wrestling community will no about it.ok nuff said.
i watched a video one time of the old larry matysik st.louis wrestling club that had a tv match between a young buddy landell against veteran max blue, not sure why but max blue had a bug up his ass about doing the job for landell and about 3 or 4 minutes in blue started shooting with landell and rather quickly landell took down blue and wrapped him up in a type of amatuer roll up and told the ref to hit a fast 3 count. landell and blue almost came to blows in the dressing room from what i heard and as a result max blue was abruptly fired and told to leave the building.
i do recall an incident where jerry "crusher" blackwell roughed up milwaukee worker woody wilson when allegedlly woody was saying some $hit about verne gagne or whatever the reason was, everything was smoothed over afterwards but woodrow looked inbad shape.
from my own experience from warsaw, indiana @ the national guard armory calypso jim (bobo jr.) and yours truly worked the maxx bros. (sam decero and john richmond -aka eli the eliminater) not sure why but there was a history of heat between calypso and madd maxx (john richmond) dating back to when th4ey were all working for dick the bruisers company in indianapolis anyhow the finish that we were given by promoter mike schwab was for i think super maxx (sam decero) to take it on calypso about 20 minutes. during the match when calypso and madd maxx botched up a couple spots, calypso did something and/or made a gesture to piss off madd maxx and then all ofa sudden madd maxx cold cocked calypso with a right, calypso had a hellava gash under his eye. calypso ran into the armory office and locked the door thus leaving me in there with both sam and john and john just flipped over a table i guess just venting what was left in his system.
well good old me had the deer in the headlights look going as i didn't know what to expect but john grabbed me and he and sam put me over like a million bucks for the next couple minutes until catching me with a double clthesline and i think double slamming me throat first on the top rope. a short time later the warsaw police showed up @ the building as calypso wanted to swear out an arrest warrant for assault and battery on john richmond. we all basically had to explain the inner workings of the business to warsaws finest to save john from going to jail and after a short time calypso withdrew his complaint.
i drove with sam decero to that particular show and we all had a good laugh about it on the way home and then the next time i worked a show with john richmond i always ribbed him by telling his opponents that if he stiffs u call five-o.
when i read lou thesz' book "hooker" thesz talked about argentina rocca, mainly about the guy being a moron and lousy worker but mainly about rocca drawing huge business for vince mccmahon sr. and toots mondt the then owners of the capital wrestling office (pre wwf) during the 50's and early 60's.
rocca, with the blessing of vince sr. and toots let rocca do some work in morris siegels nwa texas territory and the goal was to eventually set rocca up with title shots against not only then nwa champ lou thesz in houston and a few other towns but for rocca to work then nwa jr.heavyweight champ leroy mcguirk in some other towns.
kola kowanni, who was part of the east coast office with vince sr. and mondt accompannied rocca on his swing through texas, when word got back to vince sr. and mondt that rocca was to put over thesz and mcguirk, kola was given orders to leave texas with rocca and head back to new york. rocca was undefeated in the east coast so vince sr. was concerned that if any word got back to the east coast that rocca, his top face was beaten he was pranoid that his territory would dry up. advanced tix sales in all the texas and oklahoma towns for were tremendous but come the nights of the shows when rocca no showed the main events with thesz and mcguirk it made the nwa texas territory almost dry up.
nwa texas owner morris siegel along with nwa st. louis owner -president along with paul jones, jim barnett, etc. used there political influence to get argentina rocca banned from wrestling in just about every state of the union with the state wrestling athletic commissions including new york, due to the texas shennanigans of rocca and his east coast croanies.
vince sr. approached morris siegel to make things right and siegel told vince that if rocca returns to texas to fulfill his booking obligations against thesz and mcguirk he and his croanies would contact the wrestling commissions in the various states that rocca was banned and rescind the ban on rocca.
the first few towns were rocca against mcguirk and mcguirk told thesz in the dressing room that he was going to decapitate rocca but thesz told mcguirk not to do it to save it for the upcoming houston date that had thesz vs rocca and thesz said to mcguirk that he would make things right. a few nights later in houston thesz totally fabed rocca and kola kowanni in the dressing room and a short time after that rocca and kola grabbed there bags and were going to high tail it out of the building knowing what thesz had in store for rocca. siegel had a packed building in houston that night and had the hind sight to have 2 houston police officers waiting outside the dressing room to stop rocca and kola from escaping if they had ideas. the police officers discouraged rocca and kola from leaving and now they both knew that they had to take what was coming to them.
in thesz' book he said that he had no intention of doing anything to rocca because that would be like shooting an unarmed man so when the 2 out of 3 fall match began rocca kept bailing out of the ring and avoided thesz @ all costs and this did nothing but get thesz pissed off finally thesz fed rocca his head and rocca put thesz in a headlock and a second later thesz hit rocca with a wicked back suplex that knocked rocca out cold, thesz covered rocca for the 1st fall and rocca never came to in the 2nd fall and was carted off to a local houston hospital.
thesz mentioned that all the $$ rocca made for vince sr. and toots mondt up and down the east coast, rocca only received a tiny % of it and when rocca died in 1977 after being one of the top $$ draws in wrestling he died piss broke.

Review: Brew City Wrestling in Pulaski, WI
On Dec. 5th, I made the hour journey to see BCW's "Pandemonium In Pulaski". I had alot of issues with this show even before I got in my car to go to it. For one, BCW's own web site mentions NOTHING of it...in fact, the posts on ACW's message board were the most web-advertising that I saw. Not even the message board that's wildly considered a "smark mark" message board acknowledged this show...and all that'd take to make that happen is 1 post. 411mania.com has a guy that posts on varous other nationally known "smark mark" sites that post upcoming indy shows...this one isn't mentioned either. Bad bad bad advertising I'd say. On a real fast side note, I recently read the interview on 411mania.com with Jason Jerry, what a great interview that was.
Wasn't this show supposed to start at 6:30? There's nothing more agonizing and shitty then making people wait to get in. I also notice there isn't exactly a riot going on to break down the door.
So once were FINALLY let in, I start scouting out the place...sure enough, there's ACW's entrance way...and ACW's sound system....and hey look, ACW's promoter, along with ACW's manager Jamie The Weasel, and even ACW's fat color commentor..whatever his name is. What really got me is that it appeared that Jason Jerry was doing sound..ah..judging off the tape I bought Titletown Takeover 7 (which I had to email them to get, nice video store), where he was doing the ring announcing and then comparing it to Frankie DaFalco or however the hell its spelled failed attempts at it (along with the others I've heard), I would guess that it'd be too logical to allow arguably the best ring announce in the Midwest to announce the show. The show suddenly isn't "Pandemonium in Pulaski". Not shocking, with 20 people and 3 headline guys not in appearance, there won't be much for pandemonium. Oh yeah, there's probably 20 people in attendance. This is starting to look as good as a Powerhouse Pro Wrestling show...and the bell hasn't even rung yet. I'll also point out ACW's Ref Kyle and a few of his friends are here too...who's show is this anyways? Kyle was giving away flyers to the next ACW show...at a BCW show. The more I think about this all, the more my head aches. Onwords with our, as the poster says, "FAN-tabulous" bouts....
Our first match, its a battle royal. All wrestlers are introduced, a total of 12...I notice there is no Dysfunction, no Silas Young, and no Adrian Serrano as the poster advertised. My first thought? Will Doink be here tonight and who will work as him? As the post on this message board about this board states, the rest of the card is determined by order of elimination. One wrestler is announced as some sort of failed attempt at "The Backyard Wrestling Champion" in spanglish. Battle royal's are always hard to call, and I didn't see anything of note to mention...the backyard wrestling champ or whatever lame name he's given wins? Oookay. Frankie gets a post match interivew...oh its Steve Stone, BCW WORLD..yes that's right WORLD. In front of 20 people were having a WORLD title match. Frankie degrades his own title in the segment. Dinty Moore ends up getting the match against Stone later tonight. I'm already trying to figure out a way I can get my $12 back for this crap.
Bobby Valentino vs Iron Madden Robin Valentino Thompson
Don't quote me on that name, all I know is Iron Maiden was involved and the rest I think I heard. Neither guy gets much of a reaction...and the crowd on hand, the whole 20 of us, can hear each other breathe. In fact, if you have 2 working ears, you can hear the wrestlers in the back talking about varoius subjects. Wow these guys are workin! This match as you can expect by this point, is awful and both guys have to be greener then alls hell. It actually took them longer to get into position for a move then to actually execute it. And over the mic we get to hear time cues as the match is now a 10 minute time limit...the professionalism just keeps finding new lows now here folks.
Winner: Ask yourself...do you care? Really...do you?
I'm going to just save you the trouble here and let you know Trik Davis wrestled, and won by pinfall. You can thank me later.
"Waterboy" Mike Horning & Mike Venom vs Jimmy Goomba & Jack Berzerker
Venom I saw off that ACW tape I bought, and he fit well as Eric Priest's bodyguard...he's built for it. I wanted to see him wrestle, and I got my wish. J-Real and Jimmy Goomba have a few simularites...but Goomba has a good gimmick and that certainly doesn't hurt, he atelast made the crowd remove the thumbs from there ass and make a little noise. Whoever the hell this ref is, he should really learn how to move a little and stay out of the way. Constantly where he shouldn't be....and he's got really bad cauliflower ear. Berzerker ends this for me by pinfall with a spear...that's enough for me to mark out for him.
And once again Frankie's there for the post match interview, this isn't getting taped by the way and for the sake of the few wrestling fans that are still out there, I'm glad. Goomba talks about his neck injury and all..and Frankie asks the dumbest question I've ever heard during an interview. Goomba's talking about the metal plate that was put in him and Frankie asks, and I'm not kidding "is it stainless steel?".
Angel Armoni vs "Delicious" Danny Scott
Armoni's a GREAT heel, everyone else just made weak attempts to make the crowd care, If memory serves right, DDS wins with a roll up.
Brandon Blaze vs "El Vato" Jose Guerrero
A Spanish Stew chant at a BCW show by a group of ACW's fans...there's alot that doesn't add up right there. Blaze I should note breaks kayfabe and wears Stone's gimmick, is that really necessary? Match was so-so...and went FOREVER before it turns into a big mess with Stone getting involved and Dinty Moore gets involved...and the ref BODYSLAMS Stone. A ref should never bodyslam a wrestler unless he is a wrestler who's the special guest ref. If some ref can bodyslam this guy that easy and get away with it, who says the rest of us can't? Totally ruins the credibility of wrestling. In fact, this whole show does. Vato does a favor for me that I'll never be able to re-pay by winning and ending this garbage with a top rope flying cross body.
Why won't anyone stop Frankie from taking mic time after every match? Eugh...
WORLD title match: Steve Stone (Champ) vs Dinty Moore
Well, I had to use the bathroom during most of this...sorry. I didn't miss much I'm assuming. I regret that decision to use the bathroom though because holy cow did it stink in there! Yikes, someone's ass died in there. El Vato makes his way out from the back (as a few guys did) but Jose was the only one to sell being involved in his match. That's pretty key if your going to leave the back area, so many times I've seen guys leave the back area right after a match just to try making a few bucks by selling there stuff and showing no signs of competing in a match. Eventually this ends up somehow, I forget how...I don't care how where both men are down and out and pin one another. Frankie the mic whore grabs the mic and announces that the first man to their feet wins. Yay. Stone is the first up after Brandon Blaze takes out Dinty's knees. I really really hate that. I realize that is the same concept as "Last Man Standing" but that's a whole different animal...why not just gimmick up this match as a Last Man Standing if that's the finisher to it? Anyways, Vato, who was sitting next to that fat commentator of ACW's over by their production area suddenly has a mask on and starts celebrating with Stone...and doesn't know who he is? Come on...his name is written on his pants! He starts celebrating with him and suddenly turns on him...whatever. Some other stuff happens as I'm walking out the door, knowing that I'll never never never ever go to another BCW show again. What a step back for pro wrestling....
Time of show, one hour and 30 minutes. I spent more time driving to and from this show then to watch it. This is the worst stuff I've seen, I've seen and had a better time (for a price that fits too) at the few backyard shows I've attended. They also had more then 20 people at their show.

You know, i guess in a way, Larry's right; i should be a little jaded to thed shit side of wrestling. Wrestling's always going to have it's lowlifes. But i'm a wrestling fan as well as a businessman, and i'm tired of seeing people get screwed over, especially by these money-grubbing, 2bit low-budget shysters that would compromise any shred of dignity just to fuck people out of a few dollars. The latest kick in the pills to Wisconsin fans came apparently at friday's BCW show in Waukesha, in which, in the least, Corporal Robinson, was not there as advertised. Hey, i know no-shows happen pretty commonly in wrestling, but EVERY fucking SHOW?! This is like the third time Frankie's advertised Corp and he wasn't there. I saw that Corp was on IWA's show friday, so obviously he wasn't at BCW. Is Frankie that stupid that he doesn't think people would be able to figure out that anyone that's advertised from out of town that would want transportation reimbersment are almost always no-shows?
How in the hell can anyone have any confidence in this asswipe's shows? He never even has the guts or the class to address the absenses at the show; he just starts the shows and goes ahead pretending they were never even supposed to be there. He knows damn well that guys like Robinson are not going to pay their own way from southern indiana, so he tries to get a guy or two booked on the show from that area-guys he doesn't have to pay trans to-and get him to ride with them. When that falls through, he just fucks the fans out of seeing him. That's why he doesn't even put a lineup or results anywhere. Hopefully, the indy scene will be rid of assholes like this soon. Guys that treat fans like idiots with his "bait and switch" bullshit.
