CM Punk's return to the Lunatic Wrestling Federation is this weekend. What isn't clear is his agenda.
Punk's opponent has not been announced for Saturday at the Midlothian Park District.
The main storyline in the LWF is revolving around the Whack Pack - the group built around the recent heel turn of LWF boss Billy Whack. The group includes LWF champion Ryan Boz, who will defend against Supreme on Saturday.
Punk's role seems to have flexibility.
"There is a legitimate history between him and Supreme, and him and myself," Whack said. "He's a trained professional, and my group is trained professionals. But is he a part of my trained professionals? Or will he oppose them? Lord knows I'm not going to wrestle him."
....
Pro Championship Wrestling had another of its large crowds last weekend for the Road Warriors, who were part of the tag title match - won by Animal House in a three-way tag match. Death Row suffered the pin.
PCW's Sonny Rogers is sending word of his fantasy camp coming on the weekend of Nov. 3-4 at its facility on Manheim Road in Stone Park. It's Rogers' second annual camp, and the cost is $175. For information, call (708) 867-7672, or visit pcwchicago.com.
...
Windy City Pro Wrestling stars are scheduled to appear today - Oct. 25 - at the Lombard Jaycees Haunted House. The WCPW also will be giving away complimentary passes to its Monster Bash, scheduled for Oct. 27 at Slag Valley Studios, or for Cold Day in Hell - the WCPW vs. Midwest Championship Wrestling show scheduled for Nov. 10 at Morton College.
...
The Cold Day in Hell Show is beginning to take shape, with five MCW vs. WCPW matches scheduled.
Former MCW champ Acid vs. WCPW league champ Terry Allen
MCW tag champ Jayson Reign vs. Former WCPW everything champ Steve Boz
Former MCW champ Vic Capri vs. WCPW heavyweight champ Willie Richardson
MCW tag champ Christopher Daniels vs. WCPW tag champ Julian
Former MCW tag champs Airborne and Low Ki vs. the Warlocks
Of course, Julian has worked twice on MCW cards, so it's not like we're breaking new ground here. Except with Acid and Airborne on a WCPW show. That would put both in a rare group to work on shows at WCPW, PCW, MCW and LWF. Consider Airborne would have done that at the age of 20.
...
WCPW announced its Fans Choice Awards at its Dinner at the Stars.
So it would seem Dipshit wasn't kidding aobut how he was headed for the most hated award that went to Vic Ferrari, the runner-up. They acknowledged Dipshit would have won.
Other awards:
Most improved: Julian. I agree, he's good.
Best ring attire: Frankie Valiant.
Manager of the year: Richard T. Sin
Rookie of the Year: Riot
Gem of the Year: Ruby
Valet of the Year: Cinnamon
Tag team: 2000 CC.
Most Hated: Ferrari
Best Technical: Mike Masters.
Most Popular: Willie Richardson
Wrestler of the Year: Allen.
...
Coming soon - very soon - is the latest interview with Billy Whack.
Among the subjects - why he's called Billy Whack.
"Are you a fan of GI Joe?" Whack asked. "Do you know who Cobra Commander is? He's the head bad guy. In the comic books, he had a son named Billy. The night before our first show, I really had a dream. I woke up and thought, what am I gonna call the announcer?"
"Billy Whack. I don't know why," he added. "So it was half the GI Joe comic book, and half a dream I had. It's a secret identity. Not too many people know my real name. .. And it could be a real name. People always call me Billy Whack. That's who I am all the time now it seems, but in real life, I'm still a face."
...
Of course, Whack did have a vivid heel moment last week on this very site's message board, picking a fight with MCW boss Brian Zenner.
Whack openly asked about Zenner trying to book CM Punk before Whack could in LWF. Zenner denied it and they went back and forth, padding our brand-new hit counter (thanks, both of you, really.)
So why, Whack?
"I did it as a goof," he said. "I did it to rattle his cage. I finally got a response out of him, and he sounded like a drowning man who forced himself up for one last gasp. But as he did, he was bowled over by an enormous wave."
"I just wanted him to feel helpless, like I did when he first started raiding my guys," Whack added. "Now, I'd like to officially thank him. He gave me the kick in the ass i needed to get out of the rut we were in. Now we're on top. Thanks, Brian!"

Eric Priest on AWA title defense against Lawler
Posted by AL LAGATTOLLA on 9/11/2001, 2:12 am
Eric Priest looked across the ring and saw Jerry Lawler. The American Wrestling Association world champion looked in the crowd in Gallup, New Mexico, and saw 4,000 fans.
He couldn't believe it.
"It just kind of felt like I had taken over somebody else's body," Priest said of the moment, which took place two weekends ago. "I kept thinking this shouldn't be me. It should be somebody else."
Priest, a Steel Domain-trained wrestler from Melrose Park, went in and left the main event against Lawler with the AWA world title. He had Jimmy Hart in his corner, and the Mouth of the South interfered, disqualifying Priest and giving Lawler a victory, but not the belt.
It was another notable moment in a summer that keeps topping itself for Priest, who has had five title defenses since winning the AWA title.
"It was very intimidating," Priest said. "We barely spoke before the match at all. I stood there, staring across at him, having no idea what I was going to do, and no idea what he's going to do."
Lawler has been in thousands of matches, so the match wasn't difficult. And Priest is no rookie.
"I loved the match," Priest said. "Looking back, there are a few things I could have done differently."
Working as the heel, Priest said he got an instant reaction.
"I walk out there and they already hate me," Priest said. "It's just my attitude, and how I present myself. Are you ever at a bar, and you see a guy walk in, and you just hate him right away. You don't even know him, but you could tell he's a jerk. That's me. I had a lot of trash thrown my way, fans spitting at me. I don't like to be spit it, but when I'm walking out there, there is no question who was going to be the face or the heel."
Priest said he and Lawler "focused on the crowd. We did a few moves, but the rest was psychology, bringing the crowd up, bringing them back down. We didn't go out and do a lot of high spots, but Lawler never did that kind of stuff anyway."
Priest said he came in and left with respect for Lawler, and he said Lawler "liked the match."
"He lived up to expectations," Priest said. "I was very excited going into the match."
Priest made his friends proud. Ace Steel - the Steel in Steel Domain - said Priest thanked him after the match.
"Every time Priest has a good work, he turns around and thanks us," Steel said. "I always say stop it, but he says, no, thank you. It's a good thing. It's like your kid out there when you train them."
Said Priest: "I'll always be a Domain guy. No matter what."
Priest said he is enjoying his run as AWA world champion. He said the crowds usually are big. "AWA is promoted differently," Priest said. "I did 5 or 6 radio interviews within two weeks leading up to the show. It's not like Chicago, where they put up some fliers, and maybe you see it advertised on TV."
Next for Priest is a Sept. 22 show in Wausaw, Wis., where he will face the Honkeytonk Man, a Steel Domain show in Minnesota and he said he likely will appear Oct. 20 in Hammond, Ind., at a World Wrestling Zone show at the Hammond Civic Center.
He said he'd like to add a date in Memphis against Lawler. He said the King mentioned the possibility, and Priest knows facing Lawler in Memphis is entirely different than a match with him anywhere else.

LWF
LWF report for 10/27
Posted by AL LAGATTOLLA on 10/28/2001, 4:21 am
The Frat Boys and Straight-Up Villains each reunited, CM Punk beat Airborne in his long-awaited and much-hyped return and Ryan Boz retained the Lunatic Wrestling Federation title Saturday night at Devil's Night at Midlothian.
The LWF also released matches for the Nov. 24 Bloodbath show, also at Midlothian:
Mimic vs. Brandon Bishop
Havok vs. Airborne
Straight Up Villains vs. Frat Boys, for the recently vacated tag titles
CM Punk vs. Vic Capri
Charkoal vs. Ryan Boz for the LWF title
CM Punk vs. Capri is a landmark meeting between two top-tier stars who never have met. Both eagerly await it.
"That's a dream," Capri said. "I've been looking forward to that for a long time. I've wanted to work him since the Steel Domain shows (Capri was working) in Minnesota. When I heard he was coming back, I was like, 'I want to wrestle him.' "
"I think it's going to be hot," Capri said. "So everybody should turn out for it."
Punk suggested the chance to work Capri was part of the lure for his LWF return.
"Actually, yeah, that's part of the reason," he said. "They told me it would lead to something between Vic Capri and me."
Punk and Capri were winners Saturday night at Midlothian.
Punk beat Airborne in a match that brought the crowd to its feet several times for high-impact, innovative spots. The finisher, a tiger driver off the top rope, brought chants of "welcome back" for Punk, and then simply, "CM Punk."
It may have been the finest pure wrestling match in an LWF ring, but Punk still could find flaws.
"I don't like anything unless it's perfect," he said. "I'm not saying I didn't like it, but it wasn't perfect. I think the crowd liked it a lot. I think they bought it, and that's what counts. But I'm always going to nitpick."
Capri scored a victory for the Whack Pack, beating Magnificent Mike. Capri used his full array, as did the Double M. Capri also kicked out of Double M's Filet of Sole. Double M lost after a chair shot from Billy Whack allowed Capri to score the pin.
"He's a fantastic worker," Capri said of Magnificent Mike. "He's very good and I always enjoy working him."
The results:
Maverick beat Curse after the Security Superstar distracted Curse by bringing out Kalita.
Machine destroyed newcomer Biff Bacon, making his LWF debut.
Whack berated Bill Munoz and several clips of LWF stars pulling pranks on "the All American" were shown. Whack says Munoz is "officially removed" from the LWF roster, but then added Munoz is the new LWF commissioner.
Bil Patrick successfully defended his Intercontinental title, beating Grin in a lumberclown match. Grin surrounded the ring with clowns, who terrorized Patrick's buddy Blitz throughout the match.
Mini Jones beat Stryc-9
Sexy "Shimmering" Shawn beat Johnny Mac with help from Stryc-9. "Shimmering" Shawn was Shimmer without the mask. Instead of wearing it, Shawn carried the mask with him to the ring. Before the match Double M announced the reunion of the Frat Boys.
Havok beat Grudge by countout. Airborne then went to the ring, dressed in a costume, and attacked Havok, which brought out CM Punk and began the Punk-Airborne match.
CM Punk beat Airborne was a tiger driver off the top rope. He had set up for a top-rope Pedigree, but switched to the driver. He later said he intended to do the driver all along. The two traded innovative, high-impact moves.
Vic Capri beat Magnificent Mike, with help from Billy Whack. After the match, Double M recovered from his Whack Pack beatdown with the help of Johnny Mac. The Frat Boys said there never has been a tag team as good as them. They asked Whack to name one. Whack names several, including the Straight-Up Villains, which brought out Maverick. Double M says that's all well and good, but without Jay Jensen there are no SUVs, and nobody has seen Jensen in the LWF lately. Maverick brought out Jensen and the SUVs, too, were reunited. Whack declared the two classic LWF teams would face off at Bloodbath, with the winner receiving the recently vacated LWF tag titles. Pledge Jones and Redpac apparently have been stripped of the titles.
Brandon Bishop beat Colt Cabana in Cabana's LWF debut. Bishop, representing the Whack Pack, had a handful of trunks.
Ryan Boz successfully defended the LWF title against Supreme. During the ending, Punk was chasing Whack around the ring, and accidentally ran into the ring ropes, knocking down Supreme, who was ready to fly, and allowing Boz to score the pin. Charkoal then hit the ring and Whack announced the matches for Bloodbath.
Notes and more quotes:
The opening was marred by intense microphone problems and Mike Broox and Supreme improvised their dialogue without mics. Fortunately, both are more than audible without microphones. Broox was hosting the show, but he was joined on commentary by the returning Brian Waz.
Waz's commentary included several references to recent Chicagowrestling.com interviews, and several Chicagowrestling.com shout outs.
Machine's destruction of Biff Bacon was total, with Botch chipping in as well. Botch threw the rookie through a table and Machine pulled off several top-rope frog splashes.
Among the pranks pulled on Munoz during the video, taped at the LWF Bump Factory - Double M (reading a porno magazine) trips Munoz, Grudge urinated in Munoz's YooHoo, Mad Mark swiped all the toilet paper from the bathroom before Munoz went inside, Munoz dropped his wallet, which was thrown on top of the Bump Factory roof. Whack said Munoz is officially "the sh*ttiest guy on the LWF roster," before he reassigned Munoz to commissioner duty. Whack didn't specify the duties, but stressed "it's not a firing, it's a hiring."
The Whack Pack was dressed in leather, and the group unveiled its newest member, Apryl, Airborne's valet who works with him in Midwest Championship Wrestling. Apryl wore a sheer top and a very high-cut tight short bottom.
Blitz brought out a Wrestling Rule Book 1952 to try to define the lumberclown match, and Broox and Waz referred to the fictional book throughout the night.
Grin made his entrance from a box brought to ringside.
One skit had Stryc-9 ready to be oiled down by a girl, but Double M stepped in and set up a beating, with help from Johnny Mac.
Jay Jensen received an enthusiastic round of applause with his appearance. He has worked mostly in MCW since leaving LWF. Jensen, a former LWF champion, also spent some of his absence training at All Pro Wrestling in California.
When he heard he was going to face Capri at Bloodbath, Punk grabbed the mic and said, "I never wrestled a midget before, but I'm up for anything." Capri is a target for jokes because of his small stature.
Punk said the LWF fans are "a very hard crowd to work. They're not accustomed to normal wrestling, they're accustomed to LWF stuff. And they sit on their hands for a lot of stuff. But the way I was taught is, you go out and grab their attention."
Punk did just that. At one point, he was suggesting chants to fans, and they immediately followed his suggestion.
"It's an interesting feeling," he said. "It's like a state of evolution from where I was to where I am now. I look at all the names I've worked at other shows, and I saw how people flocked to them. I really appreciated the way the fans took to me. I felt like it was another step. I felt like Christopher Daniels when he worked shows in Pittsburgh and people flocked to him. They did it to me, and that's an experience."
Punk said his match against Capri is among several he is anticipating.
"Every month, I have matches I'm looking forward to," Punk said. "The week after next, I'm working Cabana in a 2 of 3 falls match in Pittsburgh, and that is real flattering. Everybody wants the match. Guys in Minnesota want it. Guys in Kentucky want it. And now Pittsburgh wants it. And I'm really looking forward to Vic Capri."
Punk also was celebrating a birthday, and he was opening gifts while talking. "I'd like to thank my friends Chet and Steve, Ace Steel and Colt Cabana for giving me one hell of a splendid birthday," Punk said.
Punk said he "made some money." Indeed, his last words at the end of the show were, "buy my tapes."
Germel "GQ" Quinn will be making his first appearance in the Lunatic Wrestling Federation on Sept. 14 at Midlothian. His role or opponent will not be announced before the show.
GQ has worked one show in Illinois since leaving Windy City Pro Wrestling, where he was the fed's Urban American champion. GQ worked last month at an IUWA show.

Heavyweight champion Willie "Da Bomb" Richardson vs. Baltazar
Ladies champion Phoenix vs. Angel vs. Crystal
Warlocks vs. Los Mexicanos vs. Brotherhood
Lightweight champion Robby Dawber vs. Vic Ferrari
Steve Boz vs. Germel Quinn

Ace Steel said he didn't believe it when Danny Dominion told him they were booked for Saturday's Windy City Pro Wrestling show at Taft High School.
"I laughed for an hour when I got Danny's message that (WCPW owner) Sam (DeCero) was going to book us," Steel said. "I think it's odd."
Steel will face the WCPW league champion Terry Allen, while Dominion faces "All That" Steve Boz.
Steel and Dominion – the namesakes of Steel Domain wrestling - are former WCPW stars who left years ago. With Steel Domain, they train about a dozen high-level independent workers, and they still run shows in Minnesota.
Most who leave WCPW do so angrily. Steel said that was not the case with him, though it was for Dominion, who stormed away after dropping his league title at a Battle of the Belts show.
"I was gone already (when Dominion left)," Steel said. "I got a job, and my job training took me to Florida. I worked at the legendary Sportatorium in Tampa. It was no pay, but it was pretty good at the time. It was true that they had us believing there was nothing out there except Windy City, but I found out."
Steel says he was fired by WCPW, and he said it was "something ridiculous. Like I didn't shake Sam's hand, and then he wanted me to pay dues for working once a month."
But Steel said all is well, and has been for a long time. He believes DeCero is sincere when he says he is ready to move on.
"I read everything on your site, the interview with Sam saying let bygones be bygones," Steel said. "And I'm pretty much down with that. It was the place I started."
Steel also has had a taste of being in charge, and says he can understand why DeCero has his reputation as a hard man.
"It's difficult doing what he had to do," Steel said. "You've got to fire this guy and that guy. But you have to be a complete assh*le to get kicked out of the Domain. We have had guys come in and be humbled. But Sam is not a bad guy. If he's true to his word, he's right, he has kids now. He wants to get away from the attitude he had before."
"He had a bit of a godfather attitude before," Steel added. "But when you've got a gym full of 40 people, you've got to be intimidating. Does Sam intimidate me? No, I've been around. But he's a father figure in a sense. He'll tell you, do this, do that. He watches your matches and critiques you, and he knows what he's talking about. He's a father figure in a sense."
Steel said he and Dominion "could be more than a 1-time deal. It would be a great thing to add to the list. It could also give their newer guys experience. I have a lot of old-school theory and the newer guy needs to see a guy who has watched AWA, rather than a guy who has watched WWF since 1992. That's one of the reasons Sam might like to have us around."
He said he never has faced Allen, and in fact, only saw Allen in action once.
"It was against Vic Capri and it was very early in his career," Steel said. "I certainly wouldn't judge him now from that match. I saw he had a 45-minute draw with RVD, which had to be a hell of a match. If you can hang with RVD for 45 minutes, you're doing something right."
But Dominion and Steel are familiar with Boz. They broke him in.
"Boz had his first match with us," Steel said. "It was, I think, the first taping at Slag Valley. It was the first appearance of Danny and I as a team. We were the old LA connection against King Cobra and Steve Boz. Sam had him squashed by us. He's gone on from there, and that's a credit to (Boz). He's got what he's wanted. Other people have left for different reasons, but he is where he wants to be."
9/11/2001, 2:51 am
By the time Ace Steel's arm was raised in victory Saturday at the Sweet Science 16 tournament in Charlestown, Ind., Steel Domain wrestling had put its stamp on the two-day event.
To win, Steel needed four victorires – beating Suicide Kid, Danny Dominion, Adam Pearce and former ECW star Nova. Steel vs. Dominion - a quarterfinal match - pitted the Steel Domain namesakes against each other. Steel said Suicide Kid seriously hurt his arm during their first-round match.
Dominion beat American Kickboxer in Friday's first round before losing to Steel in round 2.
CM Punk lost to Dino Bambino in Friday's first round, then won a three-way dance over Tracy Smothers and Sabu. Punk pinned Smothers.
Colt Cabana lost to Tarik the Great in Friday's first round, then teamed with American Kickboxer to win a tag match over Chris Hero and Mike Quackenbush.
And Steel claims Pearce as a Domainer, so count his first-round victory over Hero, a second-round win over BJ Whitmer and a semifinal loss to Steel on the Domain scorecard.
Steel said despite he and Dominon's close friendship, the two have not had many 1-on-1 matches. "We've really only been in the ring against each other maybe 5 times over the last few years," Steel said. "It's less than 10."
Because it was a tournament, their quarterfinal match couldn't go long, but Steel said it was satisfying.
"I wouldn't say it was a barnburner," Steel said. "But it was good for what it was supposed to be. It was about 6-8 minutes. A lot of guys said it was good to see two buddies stiffing the hell out of each other out there."
Steel also enjoyed his match against Pearce.
"It was very nice to get back in the ring with Adam," Steel said. "I would never turn a blind eye to him, ever. Anyone could burn down the ring with him."
He said Pearce works like the rest of the Domain guys.
"We all like to work snug," Steel said. "We like to get the crowd involved. It was a hard-hitting match. I wish I would have had more time. I worked four main-event guys and with two - Danny and Adam - I would have liked to go longer, but I wasn't allowed. It would have taken a lot more out of me."
Against Nova, "there wasn't a lot that we did, but we did enough to put the capper on the night for the whole Sweet Science thing," said Steel, who said he took the tournament concept seriously. The emphasis for tournament matches was on technical wrestling. "We did not put in bump after bump. It was not like his ECW theory. He seems to have gone away from that, at least with me."
Steel said Nova "was very receptive to anything I wanted to do." And from beginning to end, they put on a match faithful to the concept.
"It was a good time," Steel said. "He was very professional."
Steel said Nova paid him and the Domain guys "the ultimate compliment. He said you deserved jobs, but there were none available in ECW (when Nova was there), but he said he never doubted what we could do. That's the ultimate compliment, well, next to getting work."
Steel said Cabana's match " sounded really great." And he said Punk stood out in his three-way match.
Steel said Punk originally was scheduled for the three-way match, then was switched to a match putting him in a six-man tag with Madman Pondo and Mitch Ryder against Ian Rotten and the Insane Clown Posse.
"Ian had changed his mind and was going to have Punk work with the Cowns, and he was kind of down," Steel said. "He wanted to work in that three-way match. Tracy got there and asked Punk what happened, and Punk said, oh, go ask the boss, that's what he said. So Tracy said, no, we've got to have the three-way."
Steel said Punk scored "a decisive win. He got the pin on Smothers, and at the end there was a little table action."
Steel said Smothers "is a machine. He is phenominal. I'd love to work him 10 more times. I know what I'm doing against him, but he's telling me what I'm going to do before I even do it."

Windy City has planned a show for Saturday at Taft High School.
Robby Dawber will address WCPW fans.
Baltazar defends his League title against Steve Boz
Great Milenko defends his Lightweight title against Lil J Dogg
Brotherhood defends the 6-man tag titles against Natural Born Thrillas
Studd Clubb defends the tag titles against Chaotic Buddha, The New Outfit and Rage & Fury
Carnage defends the UAPW Inner-City title against Abaddon
Terry Allen vs. Damian Dunn
Former WCPW Lightweight champion Mike Masters may return.
NWA Midwest champion Danny Dominion is headed back to Windy City for a show Saturday at Taft High School.
Dominion has not a match in Windy City since September of last year, when he lost to Steve Boz. Dominion got his start at WCPW, but now works mainly in NWA-Midwest Championship Wrestling. Dominion's opponent will not be announced before the show.
It's unlikely Dominion will work long term for WCPW, but NWA-MCW official Ed Chuman said he had no problem with Dominion working at the Windy City show. He also said the appearance is no sort of cross-promotional move, and it's not leading up to any relationship between the federations. Windy City and MCW did put on a joint show - Cold Day in Hell - last year.
"Sam (DeCero) is his own thing, and he has been his own thing for ages," Chuman said, referring to Windy City's owner. "They just wanted to know if it's OK for Danny to work the show. And of course it was."
The show also will mark the Windy City return of Mike Masters - a former WCPW Lightweight champion and Battle Royale champion. Masters left WCPW because his work schedule was not conducive to wrestling, but he is ready for a full-time return.
Masters is returning to the site where he last wore gold - he lost his Battle Royale title to Vic Ferrari at Taft High School. Masters lost his Lightweight championship to "New Thing" Robby Dawber at Battle of the Belts 2001, but later that night won the stacked ring battle royale to become the Battle Royale champion. His opponent also will not be announced before the show.
The matches that have been announced include:
Great Milenko defends his Lightweight title against Lil J Dogg.
Brotherhood defends 6-man belts against Natural Born Thrillas.
Studd Clubb defends tag titles against Chaotic Buddha, New Outfit and Rage and Fury.
Carnage defends UAPW Inner-City title against Abaddon.
Terry Allen vs. Damian Dunn.
Also, Robby Dawber will address WCPW fans.
Taft High School is at 6545 W. Hurlbut in Chicago
Results and some details courtesy of Windy City Pro Wrestling:
Windy City Pro Wrestling has new tag champions, and "All That" Steve Boz got a victory in the "Land of Boz" on Saturday at Windy City's show at Taft High School.
Boz - who attended Taft - beat Danny Dominion in the main event.
The new tag champions are the New Outfit, beating Studd Clubb for the titles in an elmination tag match.
And even a returning Mike Masters couldn't end "New Thing" Robby Dawber's winning streak. Dawber has not lost since Battle of the Belts in May.
The results:
Boz opens the show by telling the crowd Taft is his former school, but he always seems to get screwed out of victory there because of Richard T. Sin. That brought out Sin with Danny Dominion, who challenges Boz. Boz accepts.
MATCH 1: Great Milenko successfully defended his WCPW Lightweight belt against Violator.
MATCH 2: Carnage successfully defends his UAPW Inner City title, pinning Abaddon.
MATCH 3: Terry Allen defeats Damian Dunn.
MATCH 4: WCPW Heavyweight champ Ripper Manson and League champ Baltazar fought to a double DQ.
MATCH 5: Natural Born Killas beat the Brotherhood to win the six-man tag titles.
MATCH 6: Dawber addresses the crowd and says he can beat anyone on the current WCPW roster. Mike Master's music hits. Masters says he's now a member of WCPW and challenges Dawber. Dawber accepts and beats Masters, with the help of Richard T. Sin.
MATCH 7: The Outfit (Vito "2 Fingers" Fontaine and Mike Anthony) defeats Studd Clubb (Frankie Valient and Vic Ferrari) as part of an elmination match to win the WCPW tag titles.
Studd Clubb defeated Rage and Fury and Chaotic Buddha before losing to the New Outfit. The loss came when Ferrari yelled 27 minutes in to the microphone, startling Valient, who was rolled up for the pin.
MATCH 8: Boz beat Dominion, despite interference from Richard T. Sin, who tries to hit Boz, but ends up hitting Dominion instead.

Frnakie Valient LOST to Vic Ferrari in a loser leaves wrestling match.

Windy City Pro Wrestling will open 2003 in downstate Lincoln.
WCPW's show - Factions - is planned for Jan. 24 at Lincoln College. It's possible that WCPW's Urban American Pro Wrestling will run Jan. 25 in Chicago.
The show will address some storyline issues.
Frankie Valient lost a loser leaves wrestling match, leaving Vic Ferrari without a partner. Robby Dawber lost his last match of 2002 - his first loss since Battle of the Belts in May.
Ferrari could become a more vicious heel, or could change his character.
"We've talked with him about his preference," WCPW's Terry Allen said. "I think he can be a mean heel or a serious wrestler. We're going to come up with what's best."
Dawber's defeat to Mike Masters will not sit well with the "New Thing." Masters and Dawber likely will meet again.
"He's disputing that he lost, and we'll take that angle further," Allen said.
LOOKING BACK
In 2002, Windy City had a strong start building to its Battle of the Belts show. The followup show at Balmoral tied up some angles, but months of inactivity during the summer led to a lot of changes.
A large group of wrestlers left - citing the lack of shows and a desire to work elsewhere in the city. WCPW also lost Ferrari, but got an old friend back in Masters. A good deal of the top guys remain, but Willie "Da Bomb" Richardson and Julian the Warlock were among those who left, as well as tag teams Los Mexicanos and Void Effect. Also gone is reigning Lee Sanders Memorial tournament champion Germel Quinn.
"I thought we had a great first half of the year," Allen said. "We had a fabulous Battle of the Belts and a good followup. Then things slowly started to fall apart. Some shows just didn't come together like we planned. We had entertaining shows, but it was supposed to be so much more."
There have been newcomers, including Steve Stone and Cameron Cage. Also, former LWF wrestler Havok is a possibility.
There are venue issues at Taft High School and Bourbon Street. Taft because the World Wrestling Zone has run there as well, and Bourbon Street because of advertising issues. Going to Bourbon Street shows, a fan hardly knows there is wrestling going on there.
Allen said there are some options, and it's possible WCPW will continue to run at Taft and Bourbon Street.
He said the Lee Sanders tournament will be an early highlight, and everything WCPW does in the first half of the year will build toward Battle of the Belts.

Primetime Wrestling has planned its first show - Breakthrough - for 7 p.m. Oct. 26 at Old Peotone Junior High School, 212 W. Wilson in Peotone.

Primetime Wrestling has announced it has lost its venue - the Conner Shaw Center in Peotone - because alcohol was brought to the grounds. Primetime's Marty Lindemann stressed it wasn't anything that was done at the show that forced the move.
Lindemann's complete statement:
"We regret to inform you that Primetime Wrestling will no longer
be able to do shows in the Conner Shaw Center in Peotone. This is
completely out of our hands and has nothing to do with the federation or anything we did. Some fans were caught in the parking lot drinking alcohol during the show. There is absolutely no alcohol allowed on school grounds whatsoever. The only way to guarantee that this will never happen again is to not have shows there at all. We are currently looking for other venues in order to keep the same dates that we announced. We will make an announcement regarding the November 30th show shortly as well. We regret and apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused anyone. "
11/19/2002, 1:31 pm

Losing its venue in Peotone led to the cancellation of Primetime Wrestling's Nov. 30 show. Primetime previously said it could not return to the site of its first show because alcohol was spotted on the site, which was a violation of the grounds rules.
Primetime was unable to find a suitable venue quickly enough for its next show.
Primetime's Marty Lindemann issued a statement: "We regret to inform you that the November 30th show has been postponed. We are currently looking into a couple venues for our future shows and we will announce them as soon as possible. Thank you."

RESULTS AND REPORT COURTESY OF REVOLUTION CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING:
Egotistico Fantastico d. "Superstar" Eric Marx w/ Michinoku Driver
Rob the Slob(returning from vacation) welcomed RCW Owner, Curt Razo, to the ring. Razo said he was watching the opening match and decided that RCW needed another title for the guys who weren't yet ready to compete for the RCW Championship. He went on to announce that next month at RCW: Absolution, an Alternative Champion will be crowned. While leaving the details vague, he said that more info would be announced on rcwpro.com in the weeks to come. Just as Curt started to speak again he was interrupted by jayrep, Double M, Josh Costilli, and Sandra D. jayrep and Double M came out on crutches with "black eyes" and their heads wrapped. Their legal advisor Josh Costilli informed the rabid RCW fans that jayrep and Double M would not be competing tonight due to injuries they suffered in a car accident when they were "sideswiped by a manure truck on their way to the arena. Having his suspicions, Razo said that if either jayrep or Double M didn't compete tonight Double M would be stripped of the RCW Title. With that, jayrep started to leave the ring, and Double M dropped his crutches and went to stop him, exposing their lie. Then, much to the shagrin of Double M, Razo then went on to introduce Acid, who wasn't supposed to be at Day of Reckoning. Razo said that since Acid wasn't originally booked he would have to face Brandon Bishop tonight, and the winner would immediate go on to wrestle Terry Allen. The winner of the Bishop/Acid vs. Terry Allen Match would earn a title match next month at RCW: Absolution. Before leaving, Acid warned Double M the title was coming home with him next month...if there was anything left of him after Bigelow finished tonight.

Report courtesy of Revolution Championship Wrestling
www.therevolutioniscoming.comVignettes aired of:
Cameron Cage and Jimmy Jacobs sitting around talking and Tweek Phoenix walked in. Cage and Jacobs asked if Tweek had considered their offer to "join their little group". Tweek said "he was RCW all the way and proud of it". Cage and Jacobs told him he would have to pay for his decision later tonight.
Machine looking for a towel to wipe his sweat and Appollo Starr handed him Cru's trademark "1 Bad Mofo" towel. Machine wiped his posterior end, arm pits and groin with the towel. Before Shawn Daivari (a witness to the incident) could warn Cru, he had already wiped his face with the towel.
Jayrep and Double M were shown in the hallway talking. Jay told Double M that he had a surprise party ready and that he invited everyone from the company to come. Jay told Double M to act really surprised when they walked in the room. They then walked in to the room and yelled "surprise", only to find out that no one showed up. They couldn't figure out why, but Jay gave Double M a cake that Jayrep had made with the Double M's picture on it. Jay said he wanted to congratulate Double M on becoming the RCW Champion. Double M said "it was the prettiest thing he's ever seen". Mike then gave Jay a present that was "supposed to be for Christmas". It was a bright pink Polo style shirt that Jay loved. Double M just wanted to thank Jay for coming out as the Masked Man and helping him win the RCW Championship last month at Malice. Jay insisted it wasn't him, and Mike claimed to not know who the masked man was either. They argued until Double M said "who cares, look at this beautiful cake". As they were admiring the cake they didn't notice that Acid had snuck up behind them and rammed their faces in the cake. Acid said he was wondering who the masked man was too and he would be watching Double M and Jayrep very carefully.
"Airborne" Vito Thomaselli then cut a promo pacing back and forth, saying that he has beat Double M in Midlothian, Rockford, and all around the Midwest. He said "that was then and this is now. He is now representing Pro Wrestling Iron in California and would be more than happy to take the RCW Championship back to California with him tonight."
RCW Owner, Curt Razo then called all the members of team RCW for the Chicago Power Series, Cru Jones, Shawn Daivari, Adam Evans, and team captain Jayrep to his office and told them that they were up against team WCPW in the first round and they better be ready. Jay said "he led RCW to the top long before Razo was ever around and would have no problem leading his team to victory at the Chicago Power Series on November 29th.
Jason Allen w/ Mad Mark Osleber beat Jimmy Jacobs
The Primetime Players (Brandon Bishop and Adam Evans) d. Terry Allen and Willie "Da Bomb" Richardson after Terry heard the announcers say that he might be the masked man and walked out in frustration, leaving Willie all alone.
Cameron Cage d. Tweek Phoenix when Jimmy Jacobs interfered.
After the match Cage and Jacobs were beating down Tweek when Jason Allen made the save. Tweek and Allen then challenged Cage and Jacobs to a match at Christmas Carnage next month.
"Superstar" Eric Marx w/ Eryn d. Appollo Starr to retain the RCW Alternative Championship
Marx cut a promo before the match and said that he knows the people don't like him but they have to respect him. He said there would be "no gimmicks needed" tonight. So Eryn shouldn't interfere. Marx said he is a champion and doesn't need her help to win. In the end, Eryn did interfere, without Marx knowing.
Intermission
Vignettes Aired of:
Eric Marx screaming at Eryn, telling her that he could have won without her help. RCW Owner, Curt Razo, then walked up and said that "he respects Marx's new attitude and thinks he is headed in the right direction. Razo told Marx he heard him say that there were "no gimmicks needed" in order for him to win anymore, so Razo then informed Marx and Eryn that RCW has always been controversial and that next month Marx would be defending the RCW Alternative Championship against the controversial "No Gimmicks Needed" Chris Candido and that Tammy Sytch would be along just to keep Eryn in line." Marx said he was o.k. with that.
Iggy Kowalski caught up with Terry Allen as he was leaving the arena. Kowalski asked Terry why he left Willie and where he was going, Allen told Kowalski "far away from here".
Acid d. Shawn Daivari
All throughout the match, Acid was looking over his shoulder and checking under the ring for the masked man. The masked man finally came to the ring and Acid followed him to the back. Daivari thought Acid had been counted out only to turn around to get hit with the Styles Clash and pinned. Acid then took off again, looking for the masked man.
"1 Bad Mofo" Cru Jones d. Machine
Double M w/ Jayrep and Sandra D. d. "Airborne" Vito Thomaselli w/ Mad Mark Osleber to retain the RCW Championship
Thomaselli hit a huge fisherman buster suplex on Double M and had him pinned 1,2,...then the lights in the arena went out. When they came back on The Masked Man was in the ring and hit Airborne with a hanging neckbreaker. The lights then went off again. When they came back on Acid was in the ring and gored the masked man. He was just about ready to rip the mask off when the lights went off a third time. When they came back on Acid was in the ring holding the masked man's mask but the man himself had vanished again. Acid screamed in a fit of rage and gave chase to him. Meanwhile, Double M crawled on top of Thomaselli for the pin.
Newsworthy Items:
- Brandon Bishop's nose was broken during his match.
-Next show is 12/7 with Candido w/ Tammy vs. Marx w/ Eryn for the Alternative Title, Double M defends the RCW Championship and more.

Revolution Championship Wrestling promoter Jay Repsel says RCW's plan to bring in name wrestlers is as much about boosting local wrestlers as it is about exciting the fans.
Both parties seem satisfied, with RCW fans rabid over Magnificent Mike's battles against Road Warrior Hawk, Bam Bam Bigelow and Steve Corino, and Acid's match against Sabu.
The trend continues Saturday at the Illinois Valley Banquet Center when Chris Candido heads to LaSalle with Tammy Sytch to challenge Eric Marx for the RCW Alternative title at RCW's Christmas Carnage show. Marx will have Eryn in his corner.
"We wanted to do something for Eric," Repsel said. "He works so hard. "
Revolution fans demonstrated their loyalty last weekend at the Chicago Power Series show, chartering a bus to head to Willowbrook, where they booed Double M, cheered on the team representing Revolution and razzed RCW wrestlers who were representing other teams.
"They were all rowdy," Repsel said. "Me and Mike were sitting in back watching them and we got goosebumps. They are wrestling fans."
The show also marks the Chicago area return of Stryc-9, who has been out for months with an injury. He will face Machine.
The show begins at 7 p.m. The Illinois Valley Banquet Center is at 920 E. Second St. in LaSalle. Tickets cost $10.
The card:
Eric Marx (with Eryn) defends his Alternative title against Chris Candido (with Tammy Sytch).
Double M will defend the Revolution title
Acid will wrestle
Appollo Starr vs. Cru Jones
Adam Evans vs. Willie Richardson
Stryc-9 vs. Machine
Tweek and Jason Allen vs. Cage and Jacobs

When a scheduling conflict forced Christopher Daniels out of i8wrestling.com's Power Series, "Danny Boy" Drake turned to Daniels' prized pupil.
Jayson Reign will make his return after nearly a year away from wrestling - facing "Physical Fascination" Brandon Bishop at the show on Nov. 29 at Arabian Knights Farm in Willowbrook.
Reign credits Daniels with his development as a pro wrestler and refers to him as his mentor.
"We decided to choose Jayson Reign to replace Chris Daniels because Jayson Reign has been and still should be one of the priemier wrestlers in the Chicagoland area, perhaps on the national level," Drake said. "Reign is everything a wrestler should be, primarily everything a junior heavyweight should be. He's in top condition at all times, always acts professional, can talk on the microphone and can wrestle a style that only a few can keep up with. In 2000-2001 he was considered by many to be in the top 10 independent wrestlers in the country."
Reign nearly came out of his retirement for i8wrestling's last show, but was unable to attend. It would have been a surprise appearance. Reign has not wrestled since a Midwest Championship Wrestling show last December. He remains MCW's head trainer, and has appeared at MCW shows in a nonwrestling capacity.
"Jayson Reign retiring was a shame," Drake said. "It was a blow to MCW and to all the wrestling fans. A wrestler of his caliver has so much to give and I'm honored that he accepted the match against Brandon Bishop at the Power Series."
Bishop and Reign both are former Windy City lightweight champions. Reign went on to become the League champion, while Bishop was leaving the fed.
"I couldn't think of a local wrestler that could better fill the slot against Bishop," Drake said. "Both these men are technical wizards and both are phenominal athletes. Jayson didn't step out of retirement for nothing. I've talked to him and he's been ready to make a comeback. This was just the perfect format, and the perfect time."
Bishop won the i8wrestling tournament at Drake's last show.
"What better way to end a retirement than to have the opportunity to topple the man that earned the right to be called the best wrestler in the Chicago area," Drake said. "What better way for Brandon Bishop to solidify his stance as the best than to crush the comeback attempt of Jayson Reign. I truly feel this match has the capabilities to be one of the best of the year, maybe the best in the last few years. Two local guys that made it big, tearing into each other. It's going to be one hell of a bout on one hell of a card."

"Physical Fascination" Brandon Bishop says he will take time off from professional wrestling after the Nov. 29 i8wrestling.com Power Series show. He says he has to address some injury and personal issues.
Bishop stresses he will wrestle at the power series against Jayson Reign. It will be Reign's return after a year away from wrestling.
Bishop plans a full statement later in the week.

"Physical Fascination" Brandon Bishop has issued a statement about his wrestling career. Bishop will be taking time off of wrestling after the Nov. 29 Power Series show, he explains why:
This has been building for quite some time and there are quite a few reasons, good ones, that I have to do this. The hard part is figuring out where to begin. I must apoligize in advance. Because of the complexity of this situation, it may, at times, seem random. It may also, at times, sound boastful but it will be neccessary to get my point across.
Last year I did 49 shows. I added my year's expenditures on food (above the amount that the average person eats in a day), supplements, tanning, and gym memberships. I divided that amount by 49. The result was that I spend 93 dollars on my product, which is me, per show. This excludes car maintenance, gas, employees, attire, hospital bills, etc. I put SO much into my product. Moreso than most people. I try very hard to look the part of a professional wrestler and to be a good pro-wrestler. I am one of the lowest paid workers in the business. Because of all that I put into my product (which is a monthly BMW payment) I am forced to work a ridiculous amount of hours at other jobs to support my wrestling career. I have 20 hours a week to maintain a house that I live alone in, eat (do you have any idea how I have to eat to look the way I do?), shower, pay bills, go through my mail, do laundry, workout, etc. You get the picture. It's very easy to say you're a pro-wrestler and not work on your physique, which is why most people don't do what I do. What I do is very, very hard. I am under a TREMENDOUS amount of stress. My blood pressure is at dangerous levels constantly. It's actually very likely for me to have a heart attack at anytime. This is not a guess. This is doctors' warnings. I'm 26.
One of the people I hold in high regard in this business recently told me "Brandon, enough with this humble shit!" And I really believe he's right. It's killing me. That's why I'm so low paid. That's why I'm taken advantage of. I've never played hardball with anybody. I've always done whatever the promoter says without question. I'm probably the least problematic worker in pro-wrestling. My dad is an excellent carpenter. Excellent. But he never made much money because he's too nice. I inherited that trait.
I've had countless hospital bills throughout my career. Just last summer I had to go to the emergency room a few days after a show because of a compressed cervical sufferred in a match due to the mistake of the person I was working. It was not paid for by insurance. I have to pay for it. Most recently I was punched in the face so hard during a match that I now have to undergo two plastic surguries, not covered by insurance. Here's the irony: I made the call, which was neccesary at that point in the match to build the excitement properly and theoretically. It was a detail call, which are the little things that separate a professional from a rookie. Not many other workers would have known to run in and take the punch at that time in the tag match. It never would have happened if I didn't know my craft so well. Take some time to really think about that...
A very close friend of mine who's a worker stabbed me in the back recently by telling a group of our collegues at a bar very humiliating lies in an attempt to make me look stupid. He succeeded and I'm very hurt that he'd do this to me.
All of this and more, I haven't spoken of ALL of the ironies in my life, has taken its toll on me. I'm so disheartened and depressed. Anxiety is killing me.
I have to undergo Rhinoplasty, which consists of two surguries. The first is in the begining of December. Therefore my last show before my hiatus will be the Power Series on November 29th. After my surguries I would need to take a couple of months off to heel properly, but I'm gonna take another couple of months off to get everything back in order and regroup.
Everyone has been so gracious concerning my situation and I thank you. I welcome any proposals from anybody, including the people I currently work for, concerning my return. I'll consider them all. I have to start all over with everything.
As I said about the great Vic Capri when he retired, an athlete thinks about quitting every day, but a champion's heart will never let him.
I WILL resurface.

Jayson Reign has withdrawn from Friday's i8wrestling.com Power Series, citing family issues. He also has cut ties with NWA-Midwest Championship Wrestling.
Reign was scheduled to face "Physical Fascniation" Brandon Bishop at the show. It would have been Reign's first match since Dec. 1 of last year.
Ace Steel will take Reign's spot.
Reign said his grandfather's house was destroyed in a fire, and then the next day his grandfather found he had 6 months or less to live.
"It's not going to be a real happy Thanksgiving," Reign said.
He said he felt he would be distracted mentally in his comeback match - since he has not wrestled in a year. He said his last match - Dec. 1, 2001 against Acid - showed him he could not wrestle effectively if he was distracted, and Bishop already has a broken nose so he wanted to be safe.
Also, Reign recently walked away from his duties as a trainer at NWA-MCW.
Reign said MCW promoter Brian Zenner was unhappy he decided to make the Power Series his first match and cut his hours of training and then also closed the school on the last day Reign could have trained. Reign decided it was an attempt to tell him he wasn't wanted, so he walked away.
"This is really it, I'm done," he said. "I don't have anything to do with wrestling anymore."
Steel will replace Reign, who was a replacement for Christopher Daniels.
A longer story about Reign's decision will be posted soon.
Tony Talks with Josh Graning about the Mid State Pro Show
Posted by Tony Farinella on 11/27/2002, 1:41 pm
Message modified by board administrator 11/27/2002, 1:42 pm
Tony:Tell us your thoughts about your first show?
Josh: I had a great time. I was a little disappointed about the turn
out. But I am working on ways to correct that. And next time it will
be bigger and better.
Tony:Was it what you expected?
Josh: I only had a little idea of what to expect. But I think it
turned out fine.
Tony:Was the crowd into it?
Josh: For the most part yeah. Everyone I talked to enjoyed the show.
Some matches people were a little more into, but that is to be
expected.
Tony: What kind of audience do you think you drew?
Josh: The audience was cool. It was 80-100. I wish it was a little
bigger. But they will tell their friends. It was an interesting
audience. Alot of wrestling fans, but some people who wanted to just
check it out.
Tony:Why do you think the crowd wasnÂ’t that large?
Josh: I am not sure. I guess next time I will have to rethink the
way I promote. I will bring in a big street team and we are planning
on working with more sponsors. We have some great ideas to work with
local charities and organizations.
Tony:What were your thoughts on the matches?
Josh: I thought all the matches went well. The tag matches were
awesome. Everyone in the crowd loved them. All the teams were having
fun. I am a huge fan of tag wrestling and want to keep that around.
I have plans to bring in a couple more teams too, so that will be
fun. Everyone on the show was having fun. And they all worked very
hard. I thought everything went well. Solid matches.
Tony:How was Reckless Youth?
Josh: Fabulous. He was awesome. What a pro. I canÂ’t say enough about
that guy. I had a lot of fun getting to know him and working with
him. Everything I asked him he was willing to do. The people
involved in that Dream Camp will never forget it. I canÂ’t thank him
enough.
Tony:What went wrong and what went right with this show?
Josh: Well we will start with the bad. IÂ’ll get that Big Don (his
car broke down he couldnÂ’t make it) haha. My ring bell will get here
on November 15th. Haha. No lights for the entry way. I think that is
the bad stuff that happened that day. Oh and there was a couple of
minor injuries which I was hoping didnÂ’t happen. But I was rolling
with the punches. The things that went right. The wrestlers were
great. The locker room was awesome. Matches were good. Everyone was
cool.
Tony:Any future talent we can see in Mid State Pro? Cough* Mdogg 20,
Lacey, and Rain * Cough*
Josh: Tony this is why you are great haha. I may have a few
surprises left. I am talking to a few people right now. Nobody
extremely national but close.
Tony:What did some of the wrestlers think of the show?
Josh: Everyone I talked to had a good time. The locker room was
awesome, no egos everyone was just hanging out. It was a great
atmosphere.
Tony:Any things you would have done different?
Josh: Sell everyone a ticket when they said they would come haha. I
have a new game plan as far as promoting the show. I liked the
locker room and very little will change there. I would call faster
about the ring bell. But over all it was a good feeling. I am a full
believer in no regrets, hindsight is 20/20.
Tony:What's next for Mid State Pro?
Josh: World domination. But that is years down the road lol. I am
gonna stay down to earth and keep promoting WRESTLING. I want to
have good WRESTLING shows. Keep everything fun.
Tony:Name Game
Josh: You are the greatest.
Tony:Brandon Bishop
Josh: (1) Look up professional. A man among men. I was happy he was
willing to do the show even though PRIMETIME ran the next night.
Tony:J.J. Drake
Josh: A good friend. I donÂ’t see why anyone bashed his work. He
worked a good match. And anyone who thinks otherwise is just to hard
on people. The crowd was behind him 100%.
Tony:Dixie
Josh: How does one person have so much energy haha.
Tony:Adam Evans
Josh: Huge. If he keeps working hard. The sky is the limit.
Tony:The Mimic
I like him. He is quiet but ready to work. Fun to work with.
Tony:The Styc It In Express
Josh: Great tag team. Have very good tandem moves. Perfect mix of
size and speed.(Sure Burt)
Tony:the Void Effect
Josh: They work their buttsÂ’ off. I have been friends with Zero for
awhile. And they are definitely one of the hardest working teams
around.
Tony:Terry Allen
Josh: (1) Again professional. Every time I talk to him he is more

TONY: Were you a wrestling fan growing up, if so who were some of your favorites?
Mike Matthews: Of course man that's were it all started. I loved of course Hulk Hogan, Ultimate Warrior, Jake the Snake. I used to always watch it with my dad. He started it all.
TONY: What Indies did you have in your area and did you go to shows a lot?
Mike Matthews: LWF, MCW, Windy City. I went to all of them and my favorite for awhile was LWF. Then MCW came along and I started working for them by putting up the ring and doing security. Then that's were it all changed and MCW was the show to see.
TONY: Why did you decide to join the wrestling business?
Mike Matthews: I always wanted to be one you know. Backyard wrestling days began and then the real thing came. Once Brian opened up the school Justin Kage and I were the first to join, and fortunately the first to debut in MCW. I just waited for the opportunity.
TONY: Sidetracking from wrestling a little bit what was your childhood like?
Mike Matthews: It was all sports I mean all sports. Baseball, basketball, football, hockey. And of course wrestling, but that was still just watching on TV. My parents raised me to have good discipline, and do things on my own. Things were not just handed to me and I appreciate it now, but back then I was always whining about it.
TONY: What were some of the schools you looked at for training?
Mike Matthews: Steel Domain and LWF were the only ones that were reasonable, seeing that Windy City is way to far away. But Brian always said that he would eventually open one up so I waited and it was a good thing too.
TONY: Were both of your parents supportive of this choice of yours to join wrestling?
Mike Matthews: My dad was but my mom was kind of far out there. She didn't believe me and she thought it wouldn't happen for awhile. Even now adays when I come home after a match and sore and can't really move without hurting my mom asks why I do it. My dad loves it and he will always be there for me.
TONY: What was the training like and was it what you expected?
Mike Matthews: The training wasn't what I expected actually. The cardio and all the was hard but not as hard as I thought it was going to be, but then again playing sports all the time and working out helped me prepare for that. The training part itself was definitely what I expected. Jayson Reign knows what he is talking about and I never knew that there was that much detail in certain moves. It's also fun but at the same time tiring, and you will be sore for awhile.
TONY: Who were some of the students with you?
Mike Matthews: Justin Kage was my friend who I joined with and then there was a couple others. Pat, Craig, Mike and Liz, all of which quit. Me and Kage are the only originals left.
TONY: Did it ever get to the point that you wanted to quit it was so hard?
Mike Matthews: No, no, no never. Of course there was a couple of times that I didn't want to go because I was going to school working and training all at once so it was hard. But the thought of quiting never crossed my mind.
TONY: What were your intial impressions of Jayson Reign?
Mike Matthews: He was always my favorite indy star and I am not just sucking up. I have the best of Jayson Reign and all that to. I talked to him when I did security for the show and got to see him work out spots and things like that. He was always a nice guy and tells you how it is. It was very exciting to have been trained by him since i looked up to him.
TONY: Did any other guy at MCW take you aside and help you and give advice?
Mike Matthews: Oh yeah. Lets see, Brad Bradley, Eric Priest, Ace Steel, Colt Cabana,Danny Dominion, Marco Stylz, X-Plicit content. And the Sats were giving me hints on good selling.
TONY: How long was the training?
Mike Matthews: How long is training. We trained two days a week, for three hours each day. I have been training since January of this year it will be a year soon wow.
TONY: How did you like your debut match and how do you think it went?
Mike Matthews: I thought it went great man hell we got debut match of the month and good praise. Fighting Kage was cool because he's my best friend and we always fought in the backyard and always dreamed of fighting in the Indies. the match was good except the fact that I blew the standing shooting star. And I was upset with how blown up I was.
TONY: How do you think the fans liked it and did any of the wrestlers say anything to you?
Mike Matthews: Ohh the fans liked it and I was surprised at the reaction we got, and the wrestlers liked it to and congradulated us on a good debut. The only thing negative thing they said was the we had to slow down and work the crowd more. But that is constructive criticism.
TONY: Did you play any sports in high school or growing up?
Mike Matthews: Yeah I played baseball in high school but I played everything else outside of school. Baseball, basketball, football and hockey are my favoite. Golf also even though I suck.
TONY: What are your thoughts on Independent Wrestling Fans?
Mike Matthews: They are smart and hard to perform in front of because they can see if someone messes up or not. But when they are hot they are hot, you love them and hate them but without them we are nothing so big props to the fans of Chicago.
TONY: What is your opinion on the current indy scene?
Mike Matthews: The indy scene is where its at right now. WWE is losing its flavor, and all the best wrestling is in the indies. Come on the NWA is here man you cant get any bigger.
TONY: Describe Mike Matthews the Person and Mike Matthews the Wrestler?
Mike Matthews: Well the person is very weird to tell you the truth. I am one of those crazy stupid kids that love to be the center of attention. The wrestler is the opposite only because I am still trying to develope. I am calm but will wow you with my selling and bump taking which I am very proud of. The true Mike Matthews will eventually be shown to everyone.
TONY: If you could wrestle anyone alive or dead who would you pick?
Mike Matthews: I would actually love to wrestle some alive and dead. Alive it would have to be HHH, size doesnt make a difference. Dead it would be Owen Hart.
TONY: How much time do you spend on wrestling each week?
Mike Matthews: Actually getting in a ring ranges from 6 to 9 hours a week. But watching and reading about it takes up most of my time if I am not working.
TONY: Who would you want to work with locally and nationally ?
Mike Matthews: Locally it would have to be Jayson Reign, and the SATS. Nationally It would have to be Low Ki and AJ Styles. Along with anyone in the WWE. Man I am a mark.
TONY: Who has been the biggest influence on you in the business?
Mike Matthews: Of course it has been Jayson. He was my mentor and trainer.
TONY: What is the one thing that surprised you about the wrestling business?
Mike Matthews: There is so much of a business side to this business behind the curtain man. And I dont want to be a part of that yet I want to have fun.
More in Part 2..
TONY: If you could book one match, what would it be?
Mike Matthews: Red Vs Rey Mysterio
TONY: What do you think is your future in wrestling?
Mike Matthews: Right now I am a lightweight, and hopefully I can be in some kind of heavyweight status later on. But ethier way I will do my best to make a big name of myself. Matthews will always be an entertainer.
TONY: What is the best and worst thing and worst thing about this business?
Mike Matthews: The best is performing in front of people and being a larger than life person. The worst thing is also remembering you have spots to remember and you cant mess up otherwise you will be eaten alive.
TONY: Why should someone book Mike Matthews?
Mike Matthews: I will always give 110 percent no matter what I am doing, and I guarantee I will give the crowd something to see.
TONY: What is the best rib you have even seen pulled?
Mike Matthews: I haven't acutally seen alot of it yet but there is a bunch of little things. Like farting and stupid things like that. After the T-3 tournament someone stole the trophy from the training center and it took alittle while before it reappeared again.
TONY: Besides wrestling what are some of your hobbies?
Mike Matthews: I love to just be with my girlfriend. And just hang out with my friends. Play football and watch DA BEARS. I love cars, and still being a kid.
TONY: Any advice for someone trying to break into wrestling?
Mike Matthews: Never underestimate yourself or this business. Work your ass off and never slack off. Remember, dont let your size get to you. Keep your mind free and otherwise you will get caught up in something you dont want to be in.
TONY: Favorite Foods?
Mike Matthews: I love Chicken Parmasen sandwiches, and Blueberry muffins. Chocolate milk is amazing.
TONY: What do you think is wrong with the current Indy scene and what is right with it?
Mike Matthews: There are to many feuds going on backstage and too many fists being thrown towards people. The wrestling itself is whats right with it. The wrestling is amazing and deserves to be see throughout the country.
TONY: Steve Corino recently said one reason he wants to retire is because of how stupid and disrespectful fans can be on the indy scene, what experiences like that have you had?
Mike Matthews: I have had the you know you suck words coming out. And since I am small people say that I cant hang with anyone and that anyone can do it if I can. Well if you can step up and lets see if you can do what I do. Otherwise fans have always welcomed me.
TONY: If you weren't a wrestler, what would you be doing?
Mike Matthews: Playing Baseball or something of the sort.
TONY: What do you think is your future in wrestling and what are some of your goals?
Mike Matthews: My future looks good. I am 18 and have already fought big names like Chris Chetti and Red. My goals are like anyone elses to make it to the WWE, and if not. Wrestle for a living and not have another job on the side.
TONY: You have had a chance to work with guys like Red and Chris Chetti tell us how they were and how that went?
Mike Matthews: Chetti was very cool, he was the one that suggested to Brian to have a match between us which was an honor. Red was very easy to work with as well. They took my ideas and didnt just reject them which was very cool. Both of them I admire
TONY: Allright my friend its time for the name game.
Mike Matthews: Hahahah cool.
TONY: Justin Kage
Mike Matthews: Best Friend, always getting better.
TONY: BJ Whitmer
Mike Matthews: Huge and an incredible wrestler.
TONY: Black Dagger
Mike Matthews: Cool ass guy makes me laugh a lot.
TONY: Marko Stylez
Mike Matthews: Hard ass haha, but otherwise a good friend.
TONY: Brad Bradley
Mike Matthews: A giant that will probably be the man one day.
TONY: S.A.T's
Mike Matthews: Innovation at its best and the future of professional wrestling.
TONY: XXXplicit Content
Mike Matthews: Funny people with great ideas and a bright future.
TONY: Colt Cabana
Mike Matthews: Makes everything look so easy and is always over with everyone.
TONY: Reckless Youth
Mike Matthews: Cool, Calm, and one of the funniest guys I have ever met.
TONY: Red
Mike Matthews: Fastest man I have ever seen, and one of the best lightweights ever.
TONY: Eric Priest
Mike Matthews: A love him/hate him kind of guy, always have been cool with me.
TONY: Danny Dominion
Mike Matthews: A lot of issues behind him, but to me has helped me out a great deal.
TONY: Brian Zenner
Mike Matthews: Strict, but has given me my push into the wrestling world.
TONY: Jayson Reign
Mike Matthews: Big Gamer, and my mentor.
TONY: Well Mike thanks for your time anything you want to say or plug before we go?
Mike Matthews: Thank you MCW for making Mike Matthews what he is today, and hopefully I can keep entertaining

He's not quite used to the snow and cold and the 15-minute matches are taking a lot out of him, but Cru Jones officially is a Chicago wrestler and enjoying it.
He says he'll fit in just fine Friday at the Chicago Power Series show in Willowbrook. Some had questioned Jones' participation in the showcase for Chicago wrestlers because Jones worked in NWA Wildside in Georgia before heading here.
"They've gone away from introducing me from there," he said. "When they announce where I'm from, they'll be saying, formerly of Atlanta."
He moved to Chicago in August and he has no plans to leave.
He moved for his "real job" and his "girlfriend/fiancee," who just happens to have gone to school with Colt Cabana. That, along with his experience at a high level of wrestling made his transition simple, and he's worked for NWA-MCW and Revolution. He'll be representing Revolution at the Power Series.
Jones will be part of the team competition, with 3-man teams representing one of four federations teaming against each other. Revolution's team faces Windy City in the first round, and Jones already feels comfortable with one Windy City team member.
"I've wrestled on some shows with Terry Allen," he said. "He talked to me, said he liked my stuff. I'm not familiar with the other two guys, so I'd like to pair off with him. He's real good, he's smooth with his stuff."
ADJUSTMENTS
Jones said this week's snow is something he never has experienced before, even if it is just a few inches.
"All this cold weather doesn't help," he said. "I've never been in weather like this."
Another change is the average length of a match. Since Wildside's shows are televised, few matches go longer than 10 minutes.
"Up here, matches are a lot longer," he said. "At Wildside, they tape for TV and you're lucky to get 10 minutes. I'm used to hauling ass for 6-10 minutes."
He's worked for crowds of a few hundred in Revolution and NWA-MCW, and he can't understand why that's considered a disappointment.
"In Wildside, the fans get spoiled because they can see it all the time," he said. "They'll run quarterly shows with a gimmick name, but they can only hold 300-400. Up here, it seems the average is 300, and that's not bad. It's good for indy wrestling. I've wrestled in some shitters before, so I'm happy."
Another adjustment has been language between wrestlers.
"The verbal is kind of tricky," he said. "I'd call a spot and he wouldn't know what I'm talking about. Down south, we might have a different word for it, a slip and slide might be a floatover."
His master translator has been Cabana, who has been all over the nation.
"He's helped me out, and he's honest," he said. "He gets on me. If I do something wrong, we talk. That's cool."
As far as social life, "There's a lot more to do in Chicago than rural middle Georgia," he said.
MORE OF WHAT HE LIKES
He said wrestling may be plentiful in the South, but there aren't too many places to go here a guy can move.
"Wildside's the big one since WCW flopped," he said. "You've got Dusty Rhodes in Florida and the Armstrongs in Alabama, but that's a lot of the old school. As far as the new age, it's Wildside."
New age?
"As far as moving and not holding a headlock for 10 minutes," he said.

Jayson Reign says he has no problem walking away from professional wrestling.
He doesn't particularly like the way he's leaving, but he said it was typical for the way things have happened for him.
First, Reign canceled his scheduled comeback match, after a year of inactivity.
Reign pulled out of Friday's Chicago Power Series show because he says a family problem makes it impossible for him to keep his mind focused on wrestling. His grandfather's house was destroyed by fire, and he later found his grandfather may have less than 6 months to live, news he received at a doctor's appointment.
Reign said his last match - at Midwest Championship Wrestling against Acid last year - showed him the danger of wrestling when his head is elsewhere. Reign said he missed a few key spots that could have led to an injury by Acid. His opponent for the Power Series was to be Brandon Bishop, who recently sustained a broken nose in a match. There was no way Reign wanted to put him at risk.
Ace Steel replaces Reign at Friday's show.
But the family trauma is not why Reign is leaving pro wrestling. Reign said MCW promoter Brian Zenner was upset Reign chose to make his comeback at the Power Series show, which is unaffiliated and invites wrestlers from all Chicago companies.
Reign, who was a trainer at NWA-MCW, said Zenner elminated one of his training nights, then said the training center would be closed on a night Reign wanted to train for his comeback. He said Zenner told others he wasn't OK with Reign's decision, then tried to force Reign out.
"I'm completely done with the wrestling business," Reign said. "It's kind of sad. I put a lot of heart into MCW. For it to all come back as nothing, it's upsetting."
Zenner's only public statement so far is an acknowledgement that he wasn't happy with Reign for taking the Power Series booking, but he said there was no intent to damage Reign. He also commended Reign for his loyalty to MCW over the years.
NOT A HAPPY THANKSGIVING
Reign said his family problems no doubt will be on his mind through the Thanksgiving holiday, and he could not be sure he would be able to devote his full attention to a wrestling match.
"The biggest reason is my family," he said. "(His grandfather) just lost his house, and he's going to die. His house burned down, then the next day he goes to a doctor and hears he might have 6 months or less left to live.
"It's not going to be a real happy Thanksgiving."
EVERYBODY'S ENEMY
Reign believes much of the heat he has taken in pro wrestling has come about because of his affiliation with Zenner and MCW.
Reign was the last remaining wrestler who was with MCW from its beginning to the present. Reign and Vic Capri were among those in the "old" MCW, with Ronnie Vegas as booker and former established wrestling stars made up the roster. Reign convinced Zenner to go with younger, more local talent, and Zenner eventually forced Vegas out.
Now Reign said he is the one who may have overstayed his welcome.
"I guess the golden horse has rode into town with the NWA," Reign said. "When you're with a company from the ground up and a great opportunity like NWA comes along, but you find yourself on the back burner, it sucks."
Reign said his days booking for MCW hurt his relationship with other wrestlers.
"I made so many enemies because I was defending Brian," Reign said. "It's an insult. How could it not be? There was a reason Danny Dominion and those guys weren't in MCW. That reason was me, we had heat. But we smoothed things out, and now look at them."
"All the times I went to bat for him," Reign added. "For kayfabing everything. The name that got dragged through the mud was mine."
He said changing MCW's roster took a lot of work, and Reign took a lot of hits for it.
"You can look at the Ronnie Vegas days. That would be MCW today if it wasn't for me and Vic," Reign said. "Brian didn't know anything about wrestling. Today, he's hooked up with NWA because Ed Chuman is buddies with Danny Dominion. Danny couldn't even get looked at by Brian because of me, but then all is well and it's a good thing, because (Steel Domain guys) are genuinely excellent wrestlers and they belong there.
"But I'm not Brian Zenner's flavor of the month."
DISAPPOINTMENT
Reign said Zenner appeared angry as soon as he informed him of plans to return for the Power Series.
"I could sense he was pissed off," Reign said.
Reign said he didn't hear it from Zenner, but then he began to see changes.
"He told everybody else he was pissed off except me," Reign said. "Then all of the sudden, Tuesday classes are canceled. Who are you hurting? Me. You're taking money out of my pocket. I truly feel he wanted me out. If I was really wanted, I would have got a phone call, 'Hey, let's talk about this.' I've been with MCW since the very first show."
He said NWA-MCW officials said it would be difficult for him to return after the Power Series.
"The only people who supported me were my students," Reign said of NWA-MCW trainees Justin Kage and Mike Matthews. "I was told by Ed Chuman that if I jobbed to Brandon Bishop, I couldn't fit into their angles. But I never said I was coming back (full time)."
A full-time return was possible. Reign said the match with Bishop would have been a way for him to gauge how much he wanted to be back.
"I was really, really excited about it," he said. "I was gung-ho about it."
He said his biggest disappointment is letting down the Power Series promoters.
"I commend a guy like Brad Drake," he said. "He's the only guy who got me motivated enough to do something. He's one of the most positive people to come along in a long time. He's trying to mend bridges."
Reign said he preferred making a comeback at the Power Series because he has been away for a while and NWA-MCW fans may not recognize him as much. He believes fans who show for the Power Series will be very much into the Chicago wrestling scene.
He has been involved in training since he left, so he said he believed he would be able to perform as good as before he left. He said he had a few new moves to try out.
"The only thing I was worried about was blowing up," he said. "I felt I needed to get more training in."
A GOOD RUN
Reign, 25, said he did all he could do in the 4 1/2 years in pro wrestling. He had dark matches at WWF, he was a semifinalist in ECWA's Super 8, and he helped establish MCW.
"It happened so quickly," he said. "I had this dream of making it to the WWF, the same dream everybody has. Within two years, I had that opportunity and I did the dark matches. Things started to change. To me it was not if I would make the WWF, but how long it was going to take. Your priorities change, from,"I wish the WWF knew who I was," to "They know who I am, now what do I have to do?' "
Reign says he's one of few in Chicago who could even have that hope - Vic Capri and Steve Boz also were wrestling in dark matches in what is now WWE and Danny Dominion had an appearance on Smackdown in a nonwrestling role.
Reign said he wasn't ready to make another run at the WWE.
"The only pleasure I get is watching Raw and Smackdown and pay-per-view," he said. "And now in the situation in my life, being married, I'm not ready to start that journey again. Everything happened so quickly. A lot of people wrestle for 4 or 5 years and never get that shot."
Since WWE already knew who he was, Reign had no choice but to wait and get his name out more nationally and establish a good home locally. He believed he did all that, but things went sour. Reign is outspoken and brash, and there were times he would clash with other wrestlers, Zenner and this website. He became a booker at MCW, which put him under even more scrutiny from promoters, wrestlers and fans. He was sensitive to it.
"I found myself getting involved in the political side of things, and it didn't work," he said. "It made me want to give it up."
"I'll be known as one of the guys with the biggest ego," Reign added. "But it's all for show. These guys take themselves so seriously, but look at the statistics. How many guys have come through the Chicago scene in 4 years? Hundreds of guys. How many guys have had a crack at the WWF? Maybe 3 or 4."
"WHAT'S THERE LEFT TO DO?"
Reign said he is OK with his decision. Since he hasn't wrestled for a year, the adjustment isn't too difficult, and he's happy with his personal life.
"What's there left to do?" he said.
Asked if he would consider returning to his original home - Windy City - Reign said he can't see that happening.
"Even if I got a call from Sam DeCero, I'd probably say no," he said. "I feel like I've done everything I wanted to do."
He hinted last year that he wanted out, but he continued to train at MCW so speculation always was his decision wasn't final. But he hasn't been a public figure at too many NWA-MCW shows and hasn't been involved in a storyline since a run as commissioner months ago.
"This is really it," he said. "I'm done. I don't have anything to do with wrestling anymore. ... I'm a 25-year-old man with a real job who doesn't need wrestling."

Machine entered Pro Championship Wrestling in darkness.
The ring lights went out and when they came on, there was the masked wrestler, who at the time still held his share of the Lunatic Wrestling Federation tag belts.
"It was really cool, but people didn't know what to think," Machine said. "Eric West wrestled the first match and people thought maybe it was Eric West with my stuff on. We're the same build, the same height. People didn't know what to think."
With that, Machine joined a few old friends - Ringmaster and Grin, former stable mates in the LWF. With Lollipop and Lethal Lee, they have become PCW's most exciting new faction. Machine's old LWF partner Botch is along, too.
Ringmaster said once the PCW crowd got over the thought it may have been West in a mask, the reaction went well.
"I liked his debut, it went off the way I planned it," said Ringmaster, the group's manager. "Some of the PCW crowd didn't know who he was, and some thought he was Eric West in a mask, but the overall reaction was stunning. I heard people whispering and I saw some jaws drop."
LEAVING LWF
Machine's departure from the LWF happened more quickly than even he thought it would. For starters, he originally was slated to join the LWF team at this weekend's i8wrestling.com Power Series. There were no plans to leave LWF before then.
He said he was looking around at his options and was considering PCW. Then Grin got hurt at a show and PCW said they needed him for a storyline - not later, but now.
"I said, yes, I would do it," Machine said.
The rub was Machine still was a co-holder of the LWF tag titles with Botch, who also has left for PCW.
"That puts us in a dumb position," LWF boss Billy Whack said. "It's stupid for us to have one of our tag champs appearing in PCW."
Machine said he was willing to fulfill his LWF commitment, but Whack stripped him and Botch of the titles.
"I wanted to drop the titles at Bloodbath," he said. "But Billy Whack said if I did anything at PCW, then he doesn't want us at Bloodbath."
Said Whack: "For anybody paying attention, they would know he's obviously going to drop the belt. It makes us look stupid."
Whack said he was surprised, because Machine was upset when he and Botch didn't get a chance to win the tag titles from XXXPlicit Content, who had left LWF for MCW before their match.
"He can't b###h about Bailey Mannix and Danny Scott like he does," Whack said. "Remember how they stiffed him out of a match? He can't complain anymore, because now he's done it himself."
Machine said he no longer holds any grudge toward XXXPlicit Content.
"I talked to Bailey about that last week," he said. "There is a better understanding now. They had the (MCW) belts, and they no longer could come back. Before, I was really mad, but then I looked at the big picture. They did what they had to do, and we did what we had to do."
Machine said he doesn't have any heat with anyone in LWF, but Whack said he wished Machine had told him he was unhappy.
"Everybody else was like, 'Machine's really mad,' " Whack said. "But I never heard anything about it. He never talked to me. I can't work like that. I can't communicate or meet anybody halfway if I don't even know what it was."
Whack says he assumes his wrestlers are leaving because of a deal in which PCW offers wrestlers $150 up front and $10 a show to stay away from PCW's competition for a year.
"You want to work a year, exclusively?" Whack said. "In PCW? Go right ahead. Don't even think about calling me up. If you got conned into signing this deal ... if that's what you want, go for it."
Nobody from PCW has confirmed the deal, but it is certain their wrestlers cannot work for the competition - LWF, Windy City and NWA-MCW. Machine had no comment about it.
"I really don't want to talk about it," he said.
BACK IN THE POWER SERIES
Machine found his way back into the Power Series anyway, now as a member of PCW's team. Machine replaces Tony Scarpone and will be joined by Lethal Lee and Grin on a team captained by Ringmaster.
It gives the wrestlers a chance to take the Three Rings on the road.
"I like Lethal Lee's gimmick," Machine said. "He uses the bodybag and that's the most awesome thing."
Lethal Lee puts opponents in bodybags as part of his character in which he not only is evil, but is an extension of the devil.
"Grin is nutty and downright dirty," Machine said. "Me and Botch, we're a massive power duo. Then there's Lee, the quiet one to watch out for. Lollipop is the eye candy and then there's Ringmaster, who runs it all."
He said he didn't expect to be back in the Power Series. Others in PCW apparently also were unhappy at the slight, because there were posts on the message board from "PCW worker" saying others deserved the spot since they were in longer. Machine isn't sure what to think about that.
"I'm really, really happy they said, 'We want you on the team,'" he said. "I expected a little backlash, but not a big, long message stream. People could have told me, hey, you haven't been there very long ... but to go on a message board. It did hurt me. In my opinion, it was somebody outside of PCW just trying to stir up trouble."
Machine also is aware of the issues surfacing recently in PCW - from John Burke's status as a convicted sex offender to Rick Knight's long police record. Machine said it didn't bother him.
"I don't want to bring in anybody's personal life," he said. "I had no reservations about it. Everybody is a human being. Everybody has their faults and convictions."
A CHAMPION AT REVOLUTION
Machine will be free to continue working at Revolution Championship Wrestling, where he was the first wrestler to win the fed's new Alternative title. He since has lost it to Eric Marx.
"I was very happy they showed me that gesture," he said.
Machine has been a champion before, wearing the Maniak Enterprise Wrestling title for Mikey MiGo's fed. He also has worked at IUWA.
During his journeys, he met Hawk from the Road Warriors and got a new goal.
"I would love to have the Gravediggers vs. the Road Warriors," he said. "That would be my dream, the pinnacle other than going to WWE or NWA-TNA."
Among other goals...
"To be seen on TV would be great," he said. "Everybody's ultimate goal is to be on WWE or get on TNA. It's going to be harder. It's a harder road. They want guys who are 6-9 and slender, or cruiserweights. It's something I want to do, but if it doesn't happen, I can't complain."
HE'S NO CRUISERWEIGHT
Machine knows he's not the typical indy wrestler. There are a lot of cruiserweights, but Machine is big guy who can fly.
"It's like the Island Boys," he said. "You look at them and you don't think they could do what they're doing. Rosey did a 360 off the second rope at the last pay per view. It opens a lot of doors, to see guys who can do that. It's not the typical big guy - punch, punch, kick. Looks can be deceiving."
He's toyed with his look over the past two years - he's appeared without his signature mask, brought along a stuffed monkey and even tried facepaint. He's been back to using his black mask since his successful recent run in LWF.
"I was trying to find a niche," he said. "As soon as me and Botch started teaming, I found what I wanted. After we united at Devil's Night, people starting clicking on it. I never had a crowd pop for me. You could usually hear crickets chirping. ... but on the night we won the tag titles, before we hit the ring, people were out of their seats."
There are few high quality big guys among Chicago wrestlers. Machine and Willie "Da Bomb" Richardson are among the most notable - both recognized as agile big men. Each is able to climb the ropes and launch himself. Each has the ability to move quickly.
Machine and Richardson finally met - at a show in Bloomington. Richardson won with a top-rope legdrop.
"He was the best person to work," Machine said, adding it's only a matter of time before they meet again. "When our paths cross, I'm so looking foward to it. It's something people wanted to see, two big guys who can move the way we do. The stuff he does is amazing."
POPULAR HEELS
Machine and pals will be tweener heels in PCW, which Ringmaster says won't necessarily be easy.
"All of us get a mixed reaction," Ringmaster said. "That's why we need to stay tweeners, because it just works well for us and the fans."
Ringmaster believes Machine is popular because he, like the other group members, will fill one of PCW's needs.
"Like the rest of our gropu, he will bring much needed character," Ringmaster said. "The whole Three Rings group is a whole different breed of characters that PCW never has had before, and it has been needed."

What You Will See:
This is Vic CapriÂ’s second match back out of retirement. He put on one hell of a showing at LWFÂ’s Bloodbath and took a beating too. He teams with his good friend Ace Steel, who makes his return to RCW this month.
The RCW Title Situation is also supposed to be addressed. As most of you know Double M was injured at Bloodbath in the same match Capri was in. No one knows when Double M will return or if he will, so RCW plans to let us all in on what will be happening with their major title.
The final piece to the puzzle is going to be put into place too. Many are speculating on who or what it is. Many are saying CM Punk, who was supposed to make an appearance for RCW in their Title tournament, but fractured his skull and was unable to perform. Punk is still listed on the RCW roster even though he hasnÂ’t had a match.

Acid and CM Punk finally met, but really didn't settle a thing.
Jason Allen won the Revolution Alternative title in a three-way match in which the defending champ - Eric Marx - was eliminated first.
And Revolution Championship Wrestling is without a champion. Magnificent Mike gave up the title Saturday night after thanking the fans who love to boo him at LaSalle.
THE SHOW
Revolution owner Jay Repsel asked the fans to put down their signs for a few seconds to pay tribute to The Double M, who came into the ring on crutches, wearing his Revolution belt around his waist. Double M thanked the fans, then removed his belt, saying "I do have to give this back. You people deserve a champion." He made no promises about his future, and he reiterated he may not be back at all.
Another RCW official, Curt Razo, came out to praise Double M, but he was attacked by the masked man who has been terrorizing Acid as of late. The masked man pulled Razo into the ring, where Razo was assaulted by Repsel and his crew of Vic Capri and Ace Steel, which brought out Acid.
That cleared the ring, and it led the masked man to reveal himself as CM Punk, who says he'll take on Acid later in the show. Punk says he has a problem with Acid: "Wrestling to you is a hobby. To me, it's my life." Punk says he's the big fish and Acid is just a little fish. That brought out Vito Thomaselli and Egotistico Fantastico, clearing the ring. Acid told Punk that Punk is nothing but a guppy. The match will mark the first time they have faced each other since their early days in the LWF.
MATCH 1: Jason Allen (with Mad Mark) won the Alternative title, beating former champ Eric Marx (with Eryn) and Tweek Phoenix.
Marx was the first eliminated. Phoenix raised Allen's hand in victory and put the belt on him.
MATCH 2: Apollo Starr beat Stryc-9 (with Eryn)
Eryn kept breaking up Starr's attempts at submission victory, but in the end, with Stryc-9 caught, she ran in and got caught, too, giving Starr the win.
MATCH 3: Jay Repsel defeated John Ebener, but Machine, who came out with Ebener, put Repsel through a table, leading the announcers to call Ebener the "unofficial" champion, which confused many.
MATCH 4: Cru Jones beat Adam Evans
At one point, each man hit the other with pennies, which the ref picked up during the match. Evans' complaint about a slow count while Jones was down cost him as Jones snuck up behind for the quick pin.
Evans came out to Jeff Beck's "Space for the Papa," which is Brandon Bishop's music. Evans said later that he did indeed intend that as a tribute for Bishop, Evans' mentor who is taking a leave from wrestling while his broken nose heals.
MATCH 5: Jimmy Jacobs and Cameron Cage beat Machine and Willie "Da Bomb" Richardson
Machine was Richardson's mystery partner. The teaming of big guys would be a cool thing, but the way it was set up seemed to suggest a potential feud, which also would work. Machine and Richardson had their way through the match, showing off the skills that make them versatile big men - from Willie's flying elbow to Machine's fisherman suplex. Things went bad when Machine left the ring to look for a table, allowing Jacobs and Cage to take control with a double DDT on Richardson for the pin.
MATCH 6: CM Punk beat Acid via countout
The masked man came out to Punk's music, throwing up the straight-edge X. It wasn't Punk, though, it was Steel, Punk came out after Steel got the advantage. Once Punk entered, the match spilled to the outside for most of the beginning. Once they got in the ring, Punk got caught up in the ropes and fans were happy to see Acid get the advantage. Punk definitely was the heel.
Most of the match had Punk focusing on Acid's left leg. Punk was in control for most of the early part of the match, and every pin attempt was cocky - with one foot, one arm.
Most of Acid's positives were defensive moves, Acid was stuck in the ropes and Punk delivered a few running knees to the stomach, but was caught on the third time. Punk had Acid reeling, but Acid pulled off an ensiguri.
They exchanged chops to the chest, and Acid went on the offensive. He got a 2-count with a spinebuster and another with a side suplex. Punk was able to reverse a finish attempt to a 2-count of his own. The ending came when Acid tried to take out Punk with a moonsault out of the ring, but missed, hitting his leg on the railing. Punk went back in the ring and Acid was counted out.
Punk attacked Acid after the match, as Acid was being carried away.
MATCH 7: Ken Anderson beat Shawn Daivari (with ODB)
It was the first time I'd seen the valet ODB, and it was impressive. She's muscular and drew a lot of "she's a he" chants from the crowd, and she was the star of the match. She kept causing havoc for Anderson until he turned the tables and had her running into Daivari. With her out of the way - after Daivari ran into her one last time - Anderson finished Daivari off with a piledriver. ODB carried Daivari off after the match.
MATCH 8: Vic Capri and Ace Steel beat "Airborne" Vito Thomaselli and Egotistico Fantastico (with Mad Mark)
Capri and Steel dominated most of the match, with Thomaselli isolated much of the match.
Thomaselli and Ego were the definite faces, and every tag drew applause. Capri was the victim of "Vic Capri, 5-foot-3" chants, and a lot of middle fingers were directed at Steel.
What appeared to be the hot tag early turned into a double team assault on Ego. He came in after Thomaselli was isolated for a long time, but immediately got worked over by Steel and Capri. Among the creative spots - while Capri was spinning Ego, Steel was tagged and kicked Ego in the head.
After that, Capri and Steel were successful at keeping Thomaselli out, and they toyed with Ego. At one point, Ego was so out of it, he reached the wrong corner and tried to tag in Steel, which got him a kick to the head.
Eventually Thomaselli was tagged back in, and by then all wrestlers were in and out and confusion ruled. Capri and Steel each hit their finishers - Capri hit the ice crusher on Thomaselli and Steel hit the Gory special on Ego. Each pin was broken up. Capri eventually took out Thomaselli and Steel speared Ego into a corner. Steel took a lap around the ring, then drop kicked Ego, and Capri scored the pin for the win.
After the match, Capri, Punk and Steel kept up the beating, but the Revolution babyfaces came out. Then came the heels, but both babyfaces and heels worked together to take out Capri, Punk and Steel. Thomaselli grabbed the microphone and said "it used to be about good guys vs. bad guys, but now it's just us against you guys, and we're going to kick your ass."
NOTES:
The next RCW show is Feb. 1.
Thomaselli will have WWE tryout matches Tuesday and Wednesday at UPW in California.
There is still no word on how Revolution will crown a new champion, but speculation suggests a tournament of some sort.

Windy City's Urban American Professional Wrestling has planned a show - Good vs. Evil - for Saturday at Roseland Christian Academy, 108th and Princeton in Chicago.
Among the matches:
Vic Ferrari vs. J Dogg
Chris Chaos and Big Buddha Thunder vs. East-West Connection
Great Milenko vs. The Violator
Acid Jaz will defend his battle royale championship and UAPW title
Carnage and Cassius - 2000CC - will defend their UAPW tag titles
Tickets cost $10.
Urban American Pro Wrestling Nov. 23rd Results
The evening began with a Battle Royale which was for the #1 Contender for the
Urban American Championship Belt at the end of the evening.
It was a rough one indeed, but in the end, 2000CC was able to use teamwork and were the last 3 men in. Carnage tells Cassius that
since he already has the Inner City Championship, Zom and him will step down to let him attempt to gain singles gold. Winner:
Cassius of 2000 CC
1st match: Vic Ferrari -vs- Lil' J. Dogg; This match featured one of Urban America's newest up and comers Lil' J. Dogg against the
well known charismatic Vic Ferrari. Even though Vic had J. Dogg outsized, J.Dogg had Vic outgunned.
Winner: Lil' J. Dogg by pinfall
2nd match: Maurice "Monsta" McVain -vs- Zom of 2000 CC; Da Monsta is also a rookie to Urban America making his pro wrestling
debut. Monsta controlled the match until the end when Cassius and Carnage got sick of it and all three members began putting the
boots to Monsta, suddenly Acid Jaz came steamin' to the ring while 2000 CC took there leave. Before they could make their getaway
Acid Jaz grabbed the mic and challenged Carnage to give Monsta a title shot later in the evening for tha wrong they did. Carnage
finding no threat in the rookie agreed and 2000 CC finished their getaway.
Winner: "Monsta" by D.Q.
3rd match: Great Milenko -vs- Da TaxMan; This new menace to UAPW, Da TaxMan, has vowed to rid UAPW of all the lazy,
worthless, wrestlers that have dodged Uncle Sam and broken the law. Great Milenko being the more experienced controlled this
matches tempo and result.
Winner: Great Milenko by pinfall
4th match: Chaotic Buddha -vs- International Xpress. As most of the evening, this match showcased two new teams to UAPW.
Chris Chaos & Big Buddha against Mexican X & Orient Press. The mysterious International Xpress had the upper hand during most
of the match keeping Chaos away from his corner, but once Buddha hit the ring it was hard to keep a grip on the situation. But
somehow the International Xpress was able to find a way.
Winner: International Xpress by pinfall
5th match: 9Mil -vs- Abaddon; 9Mil and his Natural Born Killaz entered the ring without 9Mil being scheduled for a match oddly
enough. After his brief intro, 9 began insulting the locker room of Urban wrestlers and made an open door challenge to anyone in
the locker room that felt like getting dealt wit! Suddenly NightBreed's music hit and out came Abaddon of Windy City. It would appear
that we finally have the reason as to why Abaddon has yet to do a singles match since his debut with NightBreed over a year ago.
Abaddon wanted a piece of 9Mil of all convicts. The match was back and forth, but when it seemed Abaddon had the win, Steve
Stone and D.O.C. lent a little help by pulling the ref and Abaddon off the pin. 9 took that advantage and landed his finisher "Da Clip"
on Abaddon.
Winner: The Natural Born Killa 9Mil by pinfall
6th match: Tag Team # 1 Contender match
Da Natural Born Killaz -vs- HoodFellas; "The Natural Assasin" Steve Stone & D.O.C. against Damian Dunn & Da Violator. This
match was a wild ride in deed, with both teams getting the upper hand at points, but in the end with a little assistance from 9Mil,
Steve Stone and D.O.C. was able to pull their tag team debut their way.
Winner: Da Natural Born Killaz by pinfall
7th match: UAPW Inner City Championship Match
"Monsta" -vs- Carnage of 2000 CC; This match featured big man against bigger man. Carnage controlled the match
even with his partners banned from ringside, until suddenly the rookie "Monsta" turned the tables on Carnage. When it seemed he
had the title won on his first try, Cassius and Zom came down to the ring to make sure that didn't happen. 2000 CC once again put
the boots to "Monsta" when Acid Jaz and Lil' J. Dogg came to the rescue.
Winner: "Monsta by D.Q.
Main Event: UAPW Urban American Championship Match
Cassius of 2000 CC -vs- Acid Jaz; Although Cassius had Acid Jaz completely outsized, Jaz had Cassius on the speed
and was able to keep a slight advantage on Cassius most of the match. When it came to Jaz trying to get the win, the ref got
knocked down and once again the 2000 CC components came alive and jumped in to give Cassius a hand, but after being cheated
by 2000 CC twice already, "Monsta" decided to get involved along with Lil' J. Dogg. The match turned into a maylay and was thrown
out by the ref, but did not end there. The locker room cleared to restrain these six wrestlers and when the smoke cleared, 2000 CC
challenged Jaz, J. Dogg, and "Monsta" to a six-man match at the next Urban American show on Jan. 25th. And of course Jaz was
more than willing to accept.
Winner: Draw: Double D.Q.

The show opened up with the familiar sound of Peter Gabriel as Dipshit came out and grabbed the Microphone. He informed the crowd that since IUWA had finally gotten on TV after 2 years, that they asked him to be the Special Commissioner for the night to make sure things ran smoothly. This brought out The Family (TL Money, Milo Cash, Rico Salazar and their lawyer Flav Williams). IUWA Heavyweight Champion TL Money told Dipshit that the only reason he retired was because he was afraid of the Family. After a series of funny exchanges between the two, TL Money told Dipshit that The Family was taking the night off. Dipshit told them that not only do they not have the night off, but Flav Williams was going to take on Chi Town T, Milo Cash was going to take on Tyme Page and TL Money was going to face the bizarre newcomer Wisdom in a non title match.
Match 1
Alucard defeats D-Nightmare
D-Nightmare is an impressive newcomer who is one of the few in Chicago wrestling that has that "wrestler's physique". He easily overpowered Alucard throughout the match and showed an intensity that is uncommon amongst newcomers. In the final moments of the match, Julian the Warlock came down and distracted D-Nightmare, allowing Alucard to roll him up with a schoolboy and get the win with a handfull of tights.
**Is Julian alligning with Alucard or does he have some issues with D-Nightmare?
Match 2
Julian the Warlock defeats Wylde Chylde
Julian's experience proved to be too much for the Wylde Chylde. Late in the match, Chylde went for a gore but Julian moved and Chylde connected with the ref. This allowed Julian to display his infamous mean streak as he ended up parting the hair of Chylde with a brutal chair shot. To add insult to injury, Julian put on a sharpshooter as the ref declared the match over due to Chylde being passed out.
**What are Julian's long term plans, if any, in IUWA?
Match 3
Milo Cash defeats Tyme Page
Milo thoroughly had his way with the much smaller Tyme Page. Page looked to be intimidated and ended up being very sloppy because of it. He tried to be innovative but being in there with a much bigger Milo Cash apparently threw off the timing of the youngster. Milo toyed with him throughout and even let his 3 Family members get their shots in at ringside while he distracted the ref. The Family taunted Dipshit to do something about it as the Commish was sitting ringside. Dipshit delivered as he took off his sports jacket and speared TL Money out of his chair at rinigside and unloaded on him. Dipshit picked up the chair and chased TL to the dressing room. With that going on, Tyme Page was an easy victim, falling prey to a merciful pinfall.
Match 4 Lightweight Title Match
Angus McDuff defeats Tristin Hayze to retain the title.
Typical spot fest match by the cruiserweights. Nothing new, nothing innovative. It's hard to be a cruiserweight in today's saturated market. Angus is a student of Bishop's, so he can only get better.
Dipshit comes out with both Tag Team Titles over his shoulders. He announces that there was to be a Tag Team Title match but one half of the Hounds of Hell was injured. He then called out Urban Nation, the scheduled opponents for the night. Urban Nation came to the ring and went to grab the belts, assuming that Dipshit was going to hand them over via forfeit. Dipshit asked them if they were on crack because he couldn't believe they were there to pull a HHH and expect championship belts to be handed over to them. Urban Nation berated Dipshit, prompting him to allow Beast of the Hounds of Hell to defend the titles with a substitute partner. Beast came out with Sergeant Buddy Jones and the match was on.
Match5 Tag Team Title Match
Urban Nation defeats Beast and Sergeant Buddy Jones to become new Tag Team Champions.
Lots of double team action by both teams that proved too much for the ref to keep track of. Urban Nation uses the Tag Titles to get the win and the straps.
**The ref was in hot water with the fans the whole night and they were just furious over this match because it was apparent that the ref saw the use of the title and still counted the pin. Dipshit went off on the ref and told Urban Nation that the Belts will be defended on the 28th to see who is the rightful Championship team.
Match 6
Chi Town T defeats Flav Williams
Flav is a Lawyer and was no match for a veteran like Chi Town T. The match took a reversal of sorts as Dipshit banned The Family from ringside while allowing Atlas, DC Lightning, and Ice Bew to watch Chi Town's back at ringside. Chi Town connected with the Booty Bump for the easy 1-2-3.
Match 7 Non-Title Match
Wisdom defeats IUWA Heavyweight Champion TL Money via pinfall.
The bizarre newcomer felt the wrath of the angry champion but managed to hold on long enough until Bew, Lightning, and Atlas returned to ringside to distract The Family and allow Wisdom to catch TL Money off guard with a small package for the upset win.
**The Family vowed revenge on Dipshit who sat ringside laughing.
Match 8 Two out of Three falls for the IUWA National TV Title.
Aries defeats Chase Richards 2 falls to 1 to regain the National TV title. Brutal match that went all over the venue. Aries proved to be too powerful and too angry for Chase on this night.
**Chase Richards sported a newer, more professional look. He is very popular with the crowd and could be a cornerstone of IUWA if he makes the right decisions.
Match 9 Six Man Match Main Event
Ice Bew, Atlas and DC Lightning defeat Rudo Cortez, Eddie Cruz and Riot5 of Team Dammit by DQ.
Team Dammit came out with total disrespect to the IUWA fans and their opponents and grabbed chairs and sat ringside as they decided IUWA talent was worthy of a match against them. Team Dammit told the 3 IUWA mainstays that instead of playing against Team Dammit tonight, they'd be playing with themselves as usual. Atlas had enough and grabbed the mic and said that he found a referee that would do a much better job of keeping an eye on things since this ref knew Team Dammit all too well. Out comes Dipshit in a refs shirt. Riot went nuts and the match was on. Team Dammit tried toying with the IUWA contingent but Team IUWA had different plans. Team Dammit was off their game early but regrouped and took control. Dipshit, showing disgust for his former colleagues, gave them a dose of their own medicine whereas he counted very slowly for any Team Dammit pinfall attempt while counting very quickly for Team IUWA. All hell broke loose and all 6 men hit their finishers on each other with Riot being the last to connect on Ice Bew. Dipshit gave another slow count and Riot decided that was enough. Riot shoves Dipshit twice and even slaps him. Dipshit fires back and knocks Riot down and checks on Team IUWA. Riot attacks Dipshit from behind and throws him over the top rope, but Dipshit holds on and pulls himself back in. The crowd is on their feet at this point as Dipshit is winding up a punch for the unsuspecting Riot. Riot turns around into 3 punches, a big boot and a legdrop. Dipshit turns around right into Los Mexicanos who connect with their version of the 3-D called the Low Ride. Team IUWA clears the ring and Dipshit declares Team IUWA winners by DQ.
**Why the sudden heat between Team Dammit and Dipshit. One would think that with the history between all these men, that they would allign with each other instead of being at odds. Also, why is Dipshit so chummy with IUWA stars that he has feuded with in the past? Not to mention IUWA's eagerness to accept a "good guy" Dipshit. Also, Dipshit does the best Hogan tribute in all of Indy wrestling.
Battle Royale
Loki wins a battle royale that featured the entire lineup of the night. Dipshit raised the hand of Loki and declared him the winner. TL Money ran in from the crowd and jumped Dipshit, hitting him with a swinging Diamond Cutter, leaving him laying and putting an end to his Special Guest Commissionership for the night.

ChiTown T's unfortunate dive through a flaming table was an attempt to help the Independent Urban Wrestling Association receive more attention.
Germel Quinn, who has worked at IUWA and with ChiTown T before, said he hopes the IUWA continues to run despite the incident, in which ChiTown T was thrown off the turnbuckle onto a flaming table. All went wrong and ChiTown T received first- and second-degree burns on his body.
GQ says Chi-Town T is at the burn unit at Loyola Hospital. CJ Meano of Midwestmarks.com reported he has first- and second-degree burns.
"(ChiTown T) and (TL Money) want nothing more than to be a recognizable company in the city of Chicago," GQ said. "(Saturday night) was an unfortunate, but extreme way of trying to go about getting that done. I hope he is fine. I hope the company can regroup, and I hope it's not the last show we see from the IUWA."
GQ says there are not many opportunities for wrestlers of color.
"As bad as people say the company is, it's the only place black wrestlers in Chicago can go to get a little appreciation," GQ said.
More on ChiTown T's condition will be posted as it becomes available.

Los Mexicanos - Eddy Cruz and Rudo Cortez - made their LWF debut Feb. 1 with a victory over Warm Carlos and Dirty Sanchez, making their claim as the "real Mexicans" in the fed.
They walked out eating burritos that Cruz admits were three days old and very cold, and they played up Mexican stereotypes, they said they have no problems doing that. Cruz said "Mexicans don't wear hockey jerseys, they eat burritos," a reference to Warm and Dirty's hockey-style outfits they wear to the ring.
Cruz and Cortez talked with Chicagowrestling.com's Al Lagattolla about the LWF debut, their career since leaving Windy City Pro Wrestling and the fire incident at IUWA, where they were part of a match in which ChiTown T was burned in a flaming table stunt gone wrong:
AL: What exactly happened at IUWA?
RUDO: ChiTown T called a spot, pulled us off to the side.
CRUZ: We asked him if we were sure he wanted to do it.
RUDO: All of us asked him that.
CRUZ: There were four of us, it was an eight-man tag. When we got to the finish, he brought the table in, I put the alcohol on the table, but it wouldn't light up. We got a piece of paper and it still wouldn't light up, and that's when Willie (Richardson) put him through the table. What we figured happened was when the table broke, the alcohol fell on him and then he caught on fire.
RUDO: It was just crazy. There were not many people there.
AL: They say about 30.
CRUZ: That's what it was. Afterwards was the scary part, his family started mobbing us.
RUDO: He didn't tell anyone.
CRUZ: We had to run to the back.
AL: Did you want to do that?
RUDO: No, but he was adamant about it. It's a Catch-22, he's the owner/wrestler.
AL: Were you afraid?
CRUZ: I didn't think much about it.
AL: I talked to TL Money.
RUDO: They're not blaming us.
AL: The one thing I don't know is why he wanted to do it so badly?
RUDO: They just wanted to get over, as a fed.
AL: You guys work a lot of places, we'll talk about LWF, this is your first match.
RUDO: We're so geeked for the next show.
AL: Were you worried at all how the crowd would take to the Latino vs. Mexicanos match?
CRUZ: I didn't expect much of a reaction. It was more than we thought.
RUDO: We thought they'd look at us and say, "Who are these guys?" I was surprised there was any reaction.
AL: Who came up with the "Mexicans don't wear hockey jerseys" line?
CRUZ: That was me. I had that burrito since Wednesday, so I wouldn't forget. It was freezing cold because I had it in the car. But I ate them, didn't take too many bites.
RUDO: You had to get the thick ones.
AL: The ones they say are as big as your head. Have you met the Latinos before?
CRUZ: No, it was the first time I met them. I'd heard of them. They seem pretty cool.
AL: Where else are you wrestling?
RUDO: Call us and we'll go.
CRUZ: We've been with IWC.
RUDO: IUWA, but now we'll have to see with them.
AL: If they run again in April, like they say, would you have a problem going back?
RUDO: We'd have to check with Jimmy (Kleckner). He's been our agent, and Void Effect's agent, Riot, Willie. We go wherever he books us to go. We've been booked every Saturday since we left Windy City. I love it. It's fun. When we first left, they kept it open for us to come back. But this is so much fun, I thought, screw it.
AL: You've been in front of all kinds of crowds.
CRUZ: We went to Marion, Indiana.
AL: You've been there before with Windy City at a county fair.
RUDO: That's right.
CRUZ: I was looking at that, I was like, oh yeah, I remember this place.
AL: As far as LWF, you guys want to make a run at the tag titles?
CRUZ: It would be great. When we left Windy City, our intentions were to work with the LWF, it was our first priority. And I'm excited about it. Everybody in the locker room is so cool.
AL: You guys came up with Windy City. Did you guys come up with your names?
CRUZ: Yes, we did.
RUDO: Terry Allen came up with Los Mexicanos.
AL: Did you think about a change when you left?
RUDO: They know us by that, so no, we won't change.
CRUZ: We thought about changing it when we started to do the Team Dammit thing, but then we thought, we're Los Mexicanos. That's how they know us.
AL: You don't worry about stereotyping?
CRUZ: Walking out with a burrito? No.
RUDO: We just go with it. It's fun. People are going to say it anyway, so let's just have fun with it.
CRUZ: Maybe we'll come out with sombreros.
RUDO: We're going to have fun.
AL: What's next for you?
RUDO: We've got IWC on the 15th.
CRUZ: Next week it's EWF in Marion, Indiana. At the end of the month, we are heading to West Virginia.
AL: You enjoy that?
RUDO: There's never a dull moment.
AL: Have you ever gone against each other?
EDDY: Yeah, my second match.
RUDO: I don't want to do it again.
AL: Why's that?
RUDO: He's stiff. (laughs). I think I gave you about two spots. There was a plan to do something like that.
AL: I know in Windy City partners do end up feuding.
RUDO: Then they come back.
AL: Did you have fun there at all?
RUDO: There were good people I met. Plus, you end up losing money. I'm sure you heard about selling tickets and all that.
AL: All true?
CRUZ: If you've heard it from so many people, it really has to be true.
RUDO: You get tickets to sell. I don't know 10 people who want to watch me wrestle every month. My family is not fans of wrestling. It ended up coming out of my pocket.
CRUZ: The payday didn't cover it all. He still owes me for a match, make sure you put that in there.

MCW
CM Punk and Danny Dominion will get a chance to settle their differences Nov. 23 at NWA-Midwest Championship Wrestling's next show at College of Lake County in Grayslake.
Punk, who was trained by Dominion and Ace Steel, has traded jabs with Dominion over the last few months.
Steel has been quiet on the situation in his typical low-key style. But Dominion and Punk always have been more inclined to speak their minds, and neither has held back in their personal feud.
Punk said Dominion chased him out of MCW. Dominion said Punk was getting too cocky with his habit of double booking. They barely have spoken since Punk's skull fracture during the summer, when Punk was angry because Dominion didn't check up on him. Dominion said he knew all he needed to know about Punk's condition and had details at all times.
Punk said he was "shit canned." Dominion said Punk did it to himself. Regardless, Punk hasn't worked in NWA-MCW for months, and Steel rarely has been on the fed's shows.
NWA Midwest promoter Ed Chuman said he expects Punk and Dominion to "work stiff." He said the problems will be resolved, "one way or another." Chuman said he wants the best possible show every time, and he said it's silly to have Punk and Steel living in Chicago but avoiding the opportunity to wrestle close to home.
"The fans deserve to know what's going on," he said. "Fans are interested in what happened with Punk and Steel and Dominion."
NWA note:
Chuman said to expect NWA-MCW to begin scrolling among the listings of NWA shows at the bottom of the screen at NWA-TNA pay-per-view shows. The scrolls take place as the camera zooms in on the scantily clad TNA girls dancing at the PPVs.
NWA-MCW wrestlers Danny Dominion and Eric Priest will face each other Dec. 18 in a dark match before the NWA-TNA pay-per-view show.
Their match is expected to air on NWA-TNA's syndicated programming.
Dominion is the NWA Midwest champion, while Priest is the MCW champion.
"This is a great opportunity for TNA to see Eric Priest beyond the videos we've submitted," said Ed Chuman of the NWA Midwest. "As for Dominion, when he, (Mortimer) Plumtree and I were in Corpus Christi, Texas for the annual NWA show, he was the only worker that was approached by Jeremy Borash and boy Jeff and Jerry Jarrett about coming to be a part of TNA. I'm very excited for these young lions that they may finally be getting the break they need to excel in the NWA."

The Spanish Announce Team will defend the MCW tag titles for the first time against the former champions Saturday as NWA-MCW returns to the College of Lake County in Grayslake.
Also, Danny Dominion will defend his NWA Midwest title against CM Punk as two guys with personal issues will clash. Punk has blamed Dominion - who had a big influence on Punk's training - for keeping him out of MCW. Dominion said Punk's double booking was out of control and he did it to himself.
Also:
Ace Steel battles Amazing Red in Steel's first match back at NWA/MCW since he made his NWA-TNA pay-per-view debut. Steel since has become a fixture on TNA programming. Red has dazzled in every Chicago appereance since his local debut at MCW's T-3.
Colt Cabana defends his NWA Illinois title against Cru Jones.
Brad Bradley defends his BMF title against BJ Whitmer.
Matt Stryker takes on Justin Kage.
Tickets cost $15. College of Lake County is at 19351 W. Washington St. in Grayslake.

NWA-MCW detailed results courtesy of Jake Burnette:
Show started w/ a promo by CM Punk and Ace Steel. Both were interrupted by NWA Midwest Champ Danny Dominion and manager Michael Starr. Danny chewed out Punk and his "former friend" Steel and told Punk to "go back to
corporate life," referring to his TNA appearance. Danny made their match no-DQ. Crowd was over for Punk, and Starr did a good job.
1) Brad Bradley beat Matt Stryker for the BMF title: Strkyer jumped Brad early and nailed him w/ a few chair shots. Stryker spent the match working over Brad's legs, which he sold well. Brad hit a good powerslam, but couldn't cover. Stryker got Brad in an ankle lock, but Brad powered out. Brad won w/ the legsweep DDT. Solid opener.
MCW Champ Eric Priest came out, and cut a promo, running down the crowd and Chris Chetti. Big "HOMO" chant erupted. Priest quoted MR. T, and called the SAT "ex-Menudo members." Priest called out XXXPlicit Content, and chewed them out for losing, teasing dissention. XXXContent apologized to Priest and Zenner, and all had a group hug, sparking more HOMO chants. Chetti came out to a huge pop, and brought out his own title, THE FTW TITLE, and challenged Priest, saying "beat me if you can, etc, etc." The Gold Club
jumped Chetti, and put his chair in an ankle, w/ Priest doing the "bone breaking." The locker room emptied out, and BJ Whitmer volunteered to take on Priest. Chetti swore (and cursed) revenge on Priest.
2) Mike Matthews beat Justin Kage: Kage was heel. Both came out of the MCW school. Both are green, but have talent. Kage went outside early, ramming MM into the ring back-first. Back inside, Kage used a camel clutch and hit a cool armdrag into a back breaker for 2. Kage worked hard on MM's back. After missing a springboard moonsault, Kage played hurt, and got a small package for 2. Kage went for a Alabama Slam, but sat down, turning it into a tombstone, with MM hitting head first. Scary spot, crowd chanted "holy s***". Kage went for it again, but MM reversed, hit an Implant
Pedigree for the win.
3) Colt Cabana beat Cru Jones for the NWA Illinois Title: Jones brought his own referee out for this one.
Crowd was waving their arms for Colt. Some mat wrestling early, Jones' ref was interferring as much as he could. Colt hit a press slam into a modified
Michinoku driver. Jones got dumped to the outside, where Colt hit an Asai moonsault from the second rope. Awesome. Colt hit a neckbreaker that looked like Mike Modest's finisher, but the impact came on Colt's thigh. Ref took a bump, and Jones' ref came in for the phantom 3 count after Colt his the Colt 45. Colt teased attacking him, but Jones hit a low blow. Finish came when Colt reversed a pumphandle and hit the rollup for the 3.
4) Ace Steel beat Amazing Red. Steel came out with Michael Starr. Great matwork and reversals early. Red is very over in Chicago. Steel got dropkicked outside, where Red followed w/ a running swanton. Big pop. Steel hit a belly 2 belly overthrow on a charging Red. Red tried a crucifix, but Steel reversed it into an indescribable move, where Red hit the mat chest first. Steel got 2. Red came off the 2nd rope to hit a neckbreaker for 2. Red hit the RedStarPress for 2. Ace hit a toprope superplex and missed a flying headbutt.
Red hit Infared, but Starr but the leg on the rope at 2. Steel responed w/ shoulderbreakers, and hit the Twist of Pain (Gory Special -> neckbreaker for 3). Great match. Red got ovation after win.
5) Eric Priest beat BJ Whitmer. I haven't been too blown away by Whitmer's recent stuff in MCW, but that changed tonight. Both guys worked the arms early. Brian Zenner interfered numerous time, choking out Whitmer on the ropes. Priest hit a reverse DDT into a back breaker for 2. BJ hit 2 German suplexes, got blocked, and hit a Northern Light Suplex for 2. BJ hit a sweet back suplex off the top for 2. Priest went for the Kiss of Death, but BJ powered out and hit his full nelson, belly-to-back suplex. Priest landed on his
head, 2 count. Finish came when Zenner distracted the ref, and tossed the MCW belt to Priest, who hit BJ for 2. Priest hit a leg drop for 3, and did Hogan-like poses to the crowd.
6) Danny Dominion beat CM Punk for the NWA Midwest Title. Brutal, stiff, nasty match. The 2 met at ringside and brawled immediately. Punk hit a stiff chair shot on Danny after suplexing him ringside. Punk got backdropped on the steel ramp. Dominion got tossed into the crowd, but came back and hit a chair shot ofhis own. DD hit a T bone for 2. DD juiced. Punk hit ashining wizard. Punk hit a dive onto DD on the outside. DD hit a powerbomb from the 2nd rope. Punk hit the Pepsi Plunge (top rope pedigree), but Michael Starr interfered, leading to Ace Steel hitting the ring, and hitting a modified Gory neckbreaker. DD got the cover for 3. Crowd was really hot for this one.
7) SAT beat XXXPlicit Content (Bailey Mannix and Danny Scott) for the NWA Midwest Tag Titles. The retired MCW belts were hanging above the ring. I can count the number of times on one hand both teams went for the belts. It was a glorified spotfest, and that being said, it was a brutal one. SAT is hugely over here. Both started brawling early, and spilt out into my side of the bleachers. Crowd was nuts here. Too many chair shots to count. One fan, with prodding from a Maximo, hit Scott w/ a chair. Bailey suplexed a Maximo onto a stack of chairs. Danny and the other Maximo (sorry Joel and Jose, can't tell you guys apart) took a bump off a ladder set up between the barricade and ring into the crowd, with Scott's neck hitting the rail. Security was flying everywhere. Other highlights:
Bailey was left lying, and took 2 protected chairshots to the crotch. Ouch. Bailey hit a legsweep off a ladder, with the ladder falling on both of them. Scary spot.Bailey hit a Tornado DDT onto a stack of chairs. XXX Content used a chair to hit a Maximo in the middle of an airplane spin. SAT tagteamed and hit suplexes in an innovated series. SAT hit 2 splashes onto XXX Content through the tables. No Spanish Fly, but they didn't need it.
End of match: SAT went for titles, but were stopped by Brian Zenner & Eric Priest. The Maximos kicked them off, and got the belts for the win. Big pop. SAT left the arena w/ all 4 belts. XXXContent got a nice ovation from the crowd, and posed at the top of the ramp to end a wild show.

OTHER NOTES
A match has been set up for the next show, which will be the last for Sonny Rogers. Sonny will face PL Meyers, putting up his 49% stake in the company. Sonny said if he wins, he is going to give his 49% to the PCW Rowdies.
Overall, I thought most of the matches on the show were rather poor. The hardcore match was sloppy, nothing innovative. The main event was a virtual car wreck, and no real suspense was built during any of the matches, and most finishes were anti-climactic.
The free beer gimmick probably did not draw what PCW might have been expecting to the show. I would estimate attendance at about 200, most who were there to see Rex Bartlett.
The beer was flowing constantly up until the main event. The audience became louder and more raucous as the night went on. Personally, I thought that the free beer giveaway was irresponsible on the part of PCW. Hopefully, there are no accidents caused by drunken driving as I am writing this report. PCW did remind folks to drink responsibly, but as I was leaving I did see many that were at the show drinking getting into their cars.

The Rock Stars defend their PCW Tag Team Titles against The Benton Brothers
Sonny Rogers vs. P.L. Myers
Show Notes:
The double elimination match will most likely be like the ones seen on NWA/TNA. For those who don't know, two men start in the ring, once one of them is pinned or submits another wrestler comes in immediately. That continues until 3 men are eliminated. The winner of that match gets a shot at the PCW Cruiserweight title on Feb. 8th.
This might be Sonny Rogers final appearance in PCW. His match with P.L. Myers is for complete control of PCW. Sonny puts up his 49% to P.L.'s 51%. Sonny said that if he wins the match, he will give his 49% to the PCW Rowdies.

PL Myers says bringing in Jerry Lynn is just another example of Pro Championship Wrestling's commitment to its fans.
Lynn will face PCW's Boy Toy Brian at the fed's next show - Feb. 22 at the PCW's home arena in Elk Grove Village. Tickets will be $10.
PCW already regularly packs its home arena - seating is limited to maybe 250 - so bringing in Lynn probably isn't going to be a huge moneymaker. Myers said it's purely a reward for the fed's loyal fans.
"We already know we have a fan base," the PCW manager said. "It's something to tell our fans that you'll also see the superstars, as well as the PCW stars."
Lynn is a former ECW champion, a former WWE cruiserweight champion. He's currently involved in NWA-TNA, with a recent run as champion of the X Division, perhaps the fed's signature - and has represented the NWA much on their weekly pay-per-view television show.
The fact Lynn will make an appearance at PCW - rather than the local NWA affiliate, NWA-Midwest Championship Wrestling - brings questions.
"The NWA affiliate that is in this area runs business their way," Myers said. "We run things our way. Am I happy we have him over them? It's like anything else. They have an NWA affiliation, so are we supposed to shut our doors? There are four or five independent companies in the Chicago area. Do I know there is an NWA affiliation? Yes. If they brought him in, then they could do it their way. But they haven't been running."
Indeed, NWA-MCW's last show was in November. NWA-MCW promoter Brian Zenner told Chicagowrestling.com's Chuck North that Lynn isn't tied to work NWA affiliates, and NWA-TNA wrestlers still are independent wrestlers, so they are free to work where they wish.
Myers spent some time behind the scenes in ECW when the fed was near its end, and he has consistently brought in former ECW wrestlers to work for PCW - among them Francine, Sandman and Bill Alfonso.
"Jerry Lynn is a former ECW champion. You see him on TNA, and he was just misused in WWE," Myers said. "Now he's coming to PCW. Why is he coming to PCW? PL thought about who people would like to see, and this is Jerry Lynn. He's a superstar, a former X Division champion, and a great wrestlers. This is why I'm the most powerful man in Chicago."

I talked to Boy Toy Brian after the last PCW show. We talked about the next show where he will be wrestling former ECW, WWE, and NWA champ Jerry Lynn, and his thoughts going into that match.
"I feel very honored, I was very surprised I was going to wrestle Jerry Lynn. After hearing it today (Feb. 8th when they announced it) I was like oh my God. I am going to step into the ring with someone who has been there, WCW, WWF, ECW, and NWA-TNA. So I am a little nervous about it though." I then asked him if he thought he could beat Jerry Lynn. Boy Toy said, "NO, none at all," he was laughing while he said this.
He then went on to say, "Jerry Lynn is someone I used to watch. You get your own technique in wrestling. Me and Ego live together, we watch tapes all the time. We have a collection of shoots. We watch RVD verses Jerry Lynn all the time. We stole some spots don't tell him. You watch our tapes you will be like we saw Jerry Lynn do that. When I get in there with him, I hope I can live up to what he wants to wrestle as. And if I can stay toe to toe with him that is an achievement for me. That is my mind set going into this match."

Danny Dominion and Eric Priest can't yet say whether their tryout match at NWA-TNA will lead more matches.
But both figure they made the best of the match, won by Dominion with help from Adara James. It took place last month.
The wrestlers got 6 minutes to show what they could do.
"It wasn't the best we ever had, wasn't the worst," Priest said. "My main problem was trying to squeeze it all in."
Priest said since he and Dominion are not known as high flyers, they "really laid into each other. Everything we did had a lot of impact."
Dominion and Priest's match was a dark match. But the opportunity for more is there, since Ace Steel continued his run on the NWA-TNA ppv portion of the show.
"As of right now, we have not been booked for future TNA shows," Dominion said. "Everyone seems to think we put on a damn good showing. Bill Bahrens complimented us on how we put the match together. We stuck to our time, established a heel and a babyface and got a few TNA chants after a few spots."
Priest played the heel.
"With a gimmick like mine, it's stupid not to," Priest said. "I walk out there and in 2 seconds people are screaming at me. I'm an asshole walking out there in my underwear."
Dominion said the wrestlers were "somewhat happy about the match."
"There were no real ####ups, but there was an annoying pause at one time in the match that irks me," he said. "I thought the match was rushed due to time restrictions. When wrestling a true hel like Priest, it makes more sense to go longer, draw more sympathy for the babyface and piss the hillbillies off for a while so that the comeback really pops the crowd."
"Adara and Priest did a good job of this at the end with her Juvi DDT," Dominion added. "But when Priest popped up for my splash mountain, I realized that Priest has put on about 25 pounds of muscle since I worked him last and that it would be a major task putting him up over my head. But we did it. The crowd really popped for my bullet dive through the ropes. He hit me with the spear as I came off the second rope, which looked brutal - TNA chants for the second time. Then he caught me trying to hit a top rope seated rana and powerbombed me, which got a big pop. Then Adara came in and hit him with the DDT, which got a big reaction. Then I went over with the splash mountain powerbomb."
Said Priest: "The crowd really reacted well. (NWA vice president) Bill Behrens told us the holy grail was to get a 'holy shit' or TNA chant, and there were numerous chants."
Dominion said he was certain the TNA was interested in James. "She was confronted numerous times by guys with clout," he said.
Priest said a plus was the fact he was familiar with "half the locker room." NWA-MCW uses a lot of wrestlers who work regularly for NWA-TNA.
"You've got Christopher Daniels, Low-Ki and the SATs and Red," he said. "Then there's Ace. You walk in and half the guys on the show you recognize."
In a previous interview, Dominion thought he wouldn't get an opportunity at TNA because of problems he had with some of the men in power. But now he says "that's water under the bridge."
"I had a great time, and I have lots of people pulling for me," Dominion said. "There are a few people I will never like in this business, but that's life. Honestly, if I'm asked to work there great, if not, my world will not end. I believe TNA can benefit by using guys like Priest and me. Priest and I would actually like to tag if possible. We would work kind of like Rude and Orndorff did during their short stine as a tag team in 1991. It would be fun and hilarious. We can work off each other in ways that would make people piss in their pants."
Dominion and Priest have an advantage, since their home fed has NWA ties. Another NWA-MCW wrestler - Colt Cabana - has a tryout on Jan. 8.
"It's about time," Dominion said of Cabana's opportunity. "He is one of the most dedicated kids to come through in a long time. There is a reason why the Domainers are getting looked at. These are the few guys that stuck it out, kept their mouths shut and listened while they were being trained. Cabana was better at that than anybody. I would bet my last dollar that 99% of the guys in Chicago wouldn't have lasted a week at the old Domain on Irving Park. Punk, Cabana, Priest, Dagger, Noga and Bradley stood the est of time. Ace, I and Kevin Quinn (for a period of time) loved training these guys. We were lucky to have them."
"They learned a lot more than how to wrestle at the Domain," Dominion added. "They learned how to apply what they learned to get ahead in everyday life. It's very hard to find guys like that anymore - dedication, plain and simple. If you want us to take you seriously, start by changing your physical appearance for the beter. What do you think would happen if I brought a guy who looked like Havok to a WWE taping? I'd never be asked back. Now when you bring Priest and Bradley, the agents say wow, these guys can actually pass for wrestlers. Were they born like that? No. They dedicated themselves to improving their condition along with in-ring training. I wish Cabana luck on the 8th. Be yourself and you'll do fine."

Colt Cabana recently took a trip to Nashville for a dark match with NWA/TNA.
His match was against none other than CM Punk and went “very well” according to Cabana. He said, “We just did what we do best.” When asked about the backstage atmosphere, Cabana said, “Everyone was really cool. I know a lot of the guys from just doing shows around the country, but it's always nice to meet new people and new faces.”
CM Punk was on the show before, so the crowd was somewhat familiar with him. Cabana was a new face but that didn’t change the crowd’s attitude toward him. He said, “The people stayed positive throughout the whole match. I made sure to interact with both the people and the camera. The crowd never frowned upon the match and I think they left the fairgrounds remembering both names Cabana and Punk. They played off the match really well and I think dug what we gave them.”
Will Colt return to NWA/TNA? “That's not up to me,” he replied. When I brought up the backstage reps for NWA, Cabana said that “Bill Behrens was very instrumental for me. He gave me the opportunity to wrestle for NWA and then helped put Punk and I together. He's a really cool guy and appreciates what we do in the ring.”
Cabana has been all over the country and this is a big step for him. Does it take a lot of hard work and determination to get where he is? Cabana replied, “I don't think it was from sitting on my ass every weekend and not going to the gym and not trying to hone my craft. There's a reason why I'm gone every weekend. There are reasons why some people get 'respect' in the Midwest and why some people don't. It's not going to come on a silver platter. You have to go out and make it happen. You have to be determined and work hard. If you give it your all, then there's no reason why everything shouldn't just fall in place.”

What You Will See:
AcidÂ’s first opponent is yet to be named. He stated in his recent interview with Al Lagattolla that he will be facing someone he hasnÂ’t wrestled before. We know for sure that it isnÂ’t Mr. 187. Take a look at the LWF roster and figure that one out on your own.
Mr. 187 is also slated to return on the show. We will see how he torments Acid this time. We might find out why he is hunting down Acid, if there is a particular reason at all. Maybe he will even have a match, if anyone would even want to wrestle him. ThatÂ’s like throwing a lamb to the slaughter.
The LWF is promising many surprises and a new attitude for the New Year. They are also promising a huge announcement about their training school, which could come at this show.

The Lunatic Wrestling Federation has announced "Ice Pick" Vic Capri and "Physical Fascination" Brandon Bishop will serve as the fed's new head trainers.
The Mimic and LWF champion Acid will assist in training. New classes will begin in February. A form is available at LWFwrestling.com.
LWF owner Billy Whack says adding Capri and Bishop as trainers will bring respect to the fed's wrestlers. The LWF began 10 years ago as a backyard fed, but has long abandoned the backyard tag and its wrestlers have considered themselves trained, though others take issue. Capri was 2001's Chicagowrestling.com's Wrestler of the Year, and Bishop is one of the most respected wrestlers in the city.
"With this lineup it's safe to say we probably won't be hearing any more comments about our training," Whack said. "We're glad to have Brandon and Vic on the team and with Mimic and Acid helping out, only good things can happen for us."

Stryc-9 beat Zero of Void Effect

Julian the Warlock beat Mimic
Acid beat Bil Patrick to retain the LWF Title
Synn beat Adam Evans
Danny Daniels beat Eric Marx to retain the LWF Independent Title
Ryan Boz beat Vic Capri by count out
Notes From The Show:
Mia Martinez came out of the crowd and attacked Dixie with a chair during the tag match to cause the DQ.
Johnny Mac came out to do commentary before the Julian/Mimic match. Julian came out and was confronted by Mac, leading Julian to attack him. Later in the night Mac did commentary for the Daniels/Marx match. After the match ended, Void Effect hit the ring and attacked Marx. Stryc-9 then hit the ring, only to be attacked by Mac. Mac had a Void Effect jacket on. Julian came out of the back and cleared the ring. It seems and alliance has been formed between Mac and Void Effect.
Mr. 187 made another appearance after Acid's match. This time Acid attacked, but was unsuccessful. Mr. 187 hit Acid with 3 huge powerbombs. After that 187 went after Whack. Supreme tried to help Whack, but 187 lifted him by his neck and tossed his to the mat. Mike Broox came out to help Whack but recieved a vicious forearm.
Maverick was in Synn's corner for his match. Make of it what you will.
Vic Capri would have made it back into the ring, but Ben Jordan hit him with a piece of broken table to keep him outside the ring, causing the countout. Capri and Boz aren't done yet, they should meet again.

Mr. 187 made clear he is no ally of Lunatic Wrestling Federation champion Acid on Saturday at the LWF's show at Midlothian.
Also, Danny Daniels successfully defended his LWF Independent title against Eric Marx in the match of the night. "Ice Pick" Vic Capri put Ryan Boz through a table via his "Ice Crusher" finisher, but still lost when he couldn't get back to the ring and was counted out.
And Mia Martinez defeated Dixie after a match, which is promising to set up the LWF's first-ever women's match.
THE SHOW
A video skit showed Billy Whack talking with Acid about Mr. 187's interference in last month's battle royale.
Whack then came out to talk about the show and introduced his co-host on the live commentary, Supreme.
MATCH 1: Stryc-9 (with Eryn) defeated Zero (with Vishion)
Zero and Vishion – who together create the Void Effect, as went their Windy City entrance – came out first wearing their LWF tag belts. Zero played the heel, and he and Vishion spent much of the match double-teaming Stryc-9 while Eryn tried in vain to get past ref Lockport Joe.
Stryc-9 managed to get control and finish off Zero with a piledriver, after Stryc-9 took out Vishion. Void Effect double-teamed Stryc-9 afer the match, but Stryc-9's partner, Eric Marx, made the save.
MATCH 2: Dixie and Danger Mask defeated Russel Maxim and Joey Dopeman via disqualification
Dixie spent almost the entire match in the ring, and it was a long match, too long. Dixie got a 2-count after a moonsault that looked like the finisher, then she was attacked by Mia Martinez, who had a chair. As they fought, LPJ disqualified Maxim and Dopeman. Martinez continued her assault, and it appears they are headed for a match, possibly as early as LWF's next show. It would be the LWF's first women's wrestling match - Dixie has wrestled matches with guys, and Eryn had a few matches against Redpac two years ago.
After the match, Johnny Mac came out and joined Whack and Supreme for commentary.
MATCH 3: Julian the Warlock defeated Mimic.
Mac walked in front of Julian while Julian was in his pre-match crawling ritual, asking him why he does such a thing. Julian got up and hit Mac with a DDT.
During the match, Mimic was attacked by members of Los Mexicanos, who were sitting in the front row. Julian went to leap off the top turnbuckle on top of Mimic while he was being held, but Mimic moved and Julian took out Los Mexicanos. That put Mimic in control.
Mimic, who played the heel, got caught up by Julian after getting a little cocky and calling for a second drop kick with Julian caught up in a corner.
Julian won when he was able to reverse momentum on a whip into the ropes. Mimic tried to pick him up, but Julian instead put his weight on Mimic, sat him down and got the pin.
MATCH 4: Acid successfully defended his LWF title, defeating Bil Patrick (with Blitz).
Patrick came out first and talked about the message board buzz about how everyone knows who will win this match, but he says it's obvious he will win. He and Blitz used a lot of double-team moves to get control of the match, but Acid used that against Patrick later. Patrick was outside of the ring when Acid knocked down Blitz, then got a running start, used Blitz as a stepping stone to the top rope, and then came down on Patrick. Acid won with a springboard 450.
After the match, Mr. 187 came out. He was greeted by Patrick and Blitz, but he pushed them out of the way and then walked toward Acid. Acid fought back, but nothing worked. Acid briefly mounted some offense with a springboard move off the second rope, but Mr. 187 caught him. Although he stumbled back, he launched into the first of three consecutive power bombs.
MATCH 5: Synn (with Maverick) defeated Adam Evans (with his mother) via countout
Synn grabbed the microphone and told Evans' mom that he felt sorry for her. He said he had to have someone in his corner, and he called out Maverick.
The match spilled into the crowd vey quickly, with Evans emerging with the advantage when the match went back into the ring. Evans' mother spent a lot of time distracting ref LPJ. After Synn hit a spinning powerbomb, Mrs. Evans again tried to distract, and Synn dragged her into the ring. Evans gets control, picks up Synn and throws him into Mrs. Evans, who is knocked out of the ring. Evans runs out to save his mom, carrying her to the back and disregarding the count. And he is counted out.
MATCH 6: Danny Daniels (with Mad Mark) successfully defended his Independent title over Eric Marx (with Eryn)
The match of the night. Daniels had a very ground-oriented, intense attack, while Marx countered with a lot of aerial moves. But they reversed roles several times during the match, and the charm of it wasn't so much what they did, but the intensity of what they did and their reaction to it. Mad Mark and Eryn also played key roles and while it wasn't flawless, it was highly entertaining.
There was a lot of creativity. Daniels delievered several chops to Marx's chest, but Marx was able to block one, stagger Daniels and then climb up Daniels' body and flip him over. Later, Daniels got control and turned an airplane spin into a pendulum.
Marx got a 2-count after a split-legged moonsault. The count was broken up by Mad Mark, and Eryn attacked Mark. Daniels caught her, but she got the advantage and managed a DDT. Marx then hit a second-rope moonsault and got a 2-count.
The end came for Marx when he came off the top rope and was caught by Daniels, who delivered a piledriver for the 3-count. After the match, Void Effect came out to attack Marx, bringing out Stryc-9 to make the save. Johnny Mac came in to help Void Effect and then Julian came out and cleared the ring. Julian and Marx then shook hands.
MATCH 7: Ryan Boz (with Ben Jordan) defeated Vic Capri
Capri sprinted to the ring after Boz was introduced and instantly leaped to apply on arm bar. Boz worked himself out of the ring and Capri dove after him. They fought outside, and Capri got the advantage.
Boz then delivered a low blow, starting a series that had him and Jordan consistently hitting Capri below the belt. They did so with Capri in the tree of woe, and they did so outside the ring, dropping Capri onto the railing. Boz then starting walking on the railing, getting Ben's help for leverage, but Capri took out Ben with a punch, dropping Boz onto the railing.
Back in the ring, Capri hit a pair of German suplexes, then a reverse suplex for a 2-count. With Boz down, Capri called for his Hayabusa special, but before he could climb the ropes, Jordan stopped him. Boz took advantage and they started working over Capri's neck, with neckbreakers and kicks to the neck. Boz tried to lift Capri by his neck, but Capri reversed it and got Boz over for a suplex. Boz got up and Capri took out his legs with a running start.
Boz got some momentum, but Capri was able to stop him with a neckbreaker, then took out Ben before delivering his Hayabusa special - a flying knee drop, a twisting senton and a moonsault off the top rope. That got a 2-count, because Capri was shaken up and couldn't immediately go for the pin. Boz got up and tried for a piledriver, but he couldn't get Capri up. Capri reversed it and tried for an ice crusher finisher, but Boz turned that into a piledriver. Jordan then brought out a table.
They were on the ring apron and Boz tried to get Capri up, but he got caught. Capri then hit the icecrusher from the outside and he and Boz fell through the table. Boz was able to get to the ring, and Capri never was able to get in, and he was counted out.

Ryan Boz is out of the show. There was no explanation given, but word is that he had another booking. It's said that Mimic has found a replacement partner, but it wasn't stated who. We also will find out who Capri's mystery partner is.
Billy Whack stated that an old tag team will return and a new team will debut this Saturday.
We will get more info on the Melmak/Mini J/Mercenary situation from New Years Evolution
Hopefully more will develop with the Acid/187 situation too. Acid took a beating at New Years Evolution and should be looking for revenge. He should get that chance since 187 should be lurking around the ring during or after his match.

LWF wrestler Mr. 187 made his first appearance on the HBO series "Oz" on Sunday.
He had no speaking role, but he was spoken to as he was spotting Aryan leader Verne Schillinger in a weightlifting scene. As another inmate approached, the pro wrestler stood between him and Schillinger, but Schillinger said, "that's OK."
The wrestler also was seen in the background in a few other scenes.

I recently talked to Brian Zenner about NWA Midwest championship wrestling, and the rumors that have been going around.
Brian said that getting a park district to run with during the summer is easy but during the winter all the park districts have a lot more indoor events because of the weather. He said park districts will have an opening once and then not another one for a while. He said he has called venues and they said they would be interested in booking them except for they donÂ’t do wrestling shows because another promotion was there say six months ago and damaged their property. He said he has kept busy over the winter doing everything to make the product of MCW even better.
Brian said that College of Lake County is booked almost every weekend. As far as Joes Bar, the owner of the place did not make enough money. Brian said he failed to promote what he paid for. He figured that MCW fans would be there; Brian said that he doubts that someone from Grayslake would drive out on a Thursday night when he has to be at work the next morning. That you canÂ’t always count on fan base things happen they have lives. Brian said that that venue was out of his hands, the owner did a little promotion but not nearly enough.
I also asked Brian how the NWA-MCW deal came about.
Brian said, “ Ed Chuman knew the MCW product. He used to run shows in Illinois but was sick of the commission. After there was no commission he came to me and we talked for a long time, we decided it would be a win-win situation for everyone involved.
I asked Brian about Jason Reign, and why he wasn’t allowed to train for the Power Series. Brian said, “Yes he was. The last day he could train was a day of a huge show. That we were behind on setting up we opened the doors really late. We had been there since noon unloading and setting up. That Jason wanted to train there after we were finished and I said we were behind and we needed to start the show. Jason most of somehow took that as I was pissed or I didn’t want him to train. Jason must think that me canceling practice was a slap in his face.”
Brian said, “I never came out and said that Jason was fired and no he can’t train.” Brian thinks it is a shame what happened that Jason and Brian are friends first. Brian was at his wedding and considers Jason a friend. “I have called Jason five times but he has never returned my calls. I wanted to work this out, Jason was there for me from day one. So yes I did have to go out and find a new trainer for the school.” I asked who the trainer was and he said Eric Priest.
I asked him about the kids that have graduated from the school and how he felt about them. “I feel like a proud father watching them, I am so proud of all those kids. I wish them the best of luck through out their careers. They came to us because they believed we could give them the best training available, and I think that we do provided that.
He also said that all the Internet rumors were false MCW is alive and well. Our only problem is finding a venue to book shows. He said, “MCW will have a busy summer with lots of shows, some out of Chicago some even outside of Illinois. But MCW is alive and well.”

Revolution Championship Wrestling's Jay Repsel didn't hesitate once he realized Raven was released from his WWE contract. Repsel immediately did what he had to do to bring him to the next Revolution show.
Raven vs. Vic Capri is a highlight of the March 1 Revolution show, but just as big is the news of how Revolution will crown its new champion. Magnificent Mike's serious leg injury made it necessary to have a tournament of some sort. There will be five tag team matches. The five winning teams will advance to a battle royale, with the winner getting the title.
The teams, as reported by Chicagowrestling.com correspondent Wayne Pettit at the last show:
- "Airborne" Vito Tomaselli and Ace Steel
- Alter-Ego and "Superstar" Eric Marx
- Cameron Cage and Jimmy Jacobs
- Apollo Starr and
- Machine and Willie "Da Bomb" Richardson
- Ryan Boz and Jason Allen
- Cru Jones and Egotistico Fantastico
- Tweek Phoenix and Adam Evans
- Bill E. Valentine and JJ Drake
- Acid and CM Punk
Repsel talks about Raven vs. Capri, the tournament and a few cryptic remarks about Eryn and her "pet cat."
AL: How long did it take you to think of Raven after he left WWE?
REPSEL: That day I was on the phone trying to find out if he had a 90 day no compete clause....I found out he didn't, so I called some people and finally got a hold of him...so we knew we wanted him right away, it was just a matter of ironing out the wrinkles.
AL: Was Capri your first thought as opponent?
REPSEL: At first we wanted Raven/Punk cause we wanted to have Raven and Punk go back and forth on the stick about Punk being straight edge and what not..I'm sure that would be a promo to remember with those two, they are both amazing on the mic. Then we thought, Punk has to be in the Misfortune Lottery cause we have to further Acid/Punk. We're not sure when Vic is going to hang it up so we wanted to give him a few more opportunities to shine. He's a great worker and a great guy.
AL: If I may ask about your tournament at the next show ... how exactly does that work?
REPSEL: We can't call it this...but it's basically a take on the old "Battlebowl..The Lethal Lottery"...teams were randomly drawn. There will be five tag matches with the randomly drawn teams...the teams five teams that are sucessful will advance to the ten man over the top rope battle royale..the winner of the royal is the RCW Champion. So friends and enemies alike must work together if they want to be the RCW Champion.
AL: Will the royale be on the same night?
REPSEL: Yes..following the raven/vic capri match. Our fans enjoy the storylines enough that they won't leave after the raven match...the title should always be the main even. It's the top honor in our company.
AL: It doesn't seem like that's an odd thing, but it's not always the case. Will that always be the case at Revolution?
REPSEL: Always. The WWE doesn't seem to think so, but the title is what draws money and it's a way to say thank you to the boys who work so hard to get over. I mean, Double M was the champion because he earned it, Acid was the champion cause he earned it.
AL: Do you ever plan to have tag titles?
REPSEL: Yes and No. The ceiling cripples a lot of the tag team moves but we plan on it eventually. The time just doesn't seem right, I mean the Alternative Title gained a lot of presitge on Saturday night thanks to Jason Allen, Cameron Cage, and Eryn busting their asses and killing each other in their match. It was an excellent match, and Danny Boy Drake, Iggy Kowalski, and Mad Dog Ganz helped the match so much on commentary. And if anyone in Chicago sees Eryn, be sure to ask her about her pet cat from Saturday.
AL: Her pet cat?
REPSEL: I can't elaborate on that at this time, ask anyone in attendance and they will tell you about Eryn's pet cat on Saturday...not to mention that I think everyone who came to RCW on Saturday found Jesus.

RIP - Hennig
On Feb. 11th, 2003, Curt Hennig passed away at the age of 44. Hennig was in Tampa, FL for a show being promoted by Jimmy Hart at the Tampa State Fairgrounds. Hennig was found at about 1:30 PM in his hotel room after he didnÂ’t show up for his morning workout. Ed Slak and Al Lagattola asked a few local wrestling personalities to give their reactions and comments on the death of the well known superstar.
A Surprise Appearance
At last yearÂ’s PCW Dream Night, Curt Hennig was announced to be in the building and was brought out to greet the fans. No one knew Henning would be there, not even PL Myers. PL comments on HennigÂ’s passing:
“Well curt was a surprise guest for dream night and was friends of Hawk and Animal. So when I was told that curt was in town Lisa Appratti brought him to Dream Night. I met Curt though Hawk and Animal at the XWF TV tapings and interviewed him for Wrestling Resource TV when XWF was in town. He was a great guy. I remember after Dream Night seeing Hawk and him get into a chop fest with the fans. Fans were coming up to him asking to be chopped. It was pretty funny seeing him chop the living daylights out of the fans who wanted that distinction of being able to say I got chopped by Hennig. I know he was a class act to deal with from meeting him on several occasions and having to interview him. I know it come to a huge shock to me, PCW, and the wrestling community. I know he will be sorely missed.”
Why I Love Wrestling
Windy City Pro WrestlingÂ’s Terry Allen said Curt Hennig loosing the WWEÂ’s Intercontinental Title to Bret Hart at SummerSlam, on Aug. 26, 1991, was the match that made him love wrestling.
Said Allen: “They were going 200 mph with the false finishes and the energy in their match. They weren’t the top bill of their day, but they knew how to outshine everybody, except for that damn coach outside with the whistle, that annoyed me. But it’s still one of my favorite matches.”
He said the Hennig-Hart match was one many indy guys would be able to learn from.
“Especially for the lightweights,” he said. “They used so much technical stuff. It was something all of us can look up to, especially the lighter guys, which most guys are now on the independent level. That match for me did it, made me love it. You can sit down and watch that match and the theory behind it. They’d be breathing hard, but still go at it. They went tooth and nail. There was so much raw energy, as well as the desire to outdo everybody else on the card.”
The NWA
Hennig recently had stints with the NWA/TNA. Ed Chuman, NWA representative, said, "When I knew Curt he was a great guy, and was straight as an arrow. We here at the NWA MW send his family our heartfelt condolences."
One Time Ref
Justin Roberts may not have worked with Curt Hennig when he started with the WWE, but he has worked with Hennig before. Roberts gave us some of his memories from working with Hennig.
A: “I was/am saddened and extremely shocked when I found out about Curt. As a kid I only watched GLOW, until I caught a segment of Saturday Night's Main Event with Mr. Perfect, Hulk Hogan, and Bobby Heenan. It was just that one segment that sparked my interest in WWF. Since then I had always been a huge Curt Hennig mark going as far as working a tour as a referee when I found out he was included, since they already had an announcer. I didn't know how to ref, but I learned...which got me to work with "Mr. Perfect." Since that tour I ran into him a few times, every time being the same...Curt ribbing me for looking like Tom Zenk and telling me stories about how he stood up to bullies for Zenk in high school. My last memory of Curt is when he bought me a beer, which was of course-The Perfect Beer.... He was a very cool guy, and I am thankful for the opportunity to work with and to get to know Curt Hennig.”
